Look at it this way what if it was chainlink and a rabbit them the 4 dogs I keep.
Them others quit. Quit did u here me I said they quit. they have no heart. lee u be proud of them quiters. At least this cull did it right.
U no who u are and I do to how much for the bluetick that was still kickin my dogs azz. Keep ur quiters.

Just for the record chaps may i translate? The cast you were on was pounding a deer including yours? Did i understand they got out of the pen? I am starting to get rather foggy here. Did your hound climb a fence or was it all the dogs but 4 and they didnt run it or what? At times i have a hard time understanding your grammer. I would like to have been there as it seemed to be a good time had by all.Over and Out

The deer race started in the pen all the dogs were there atleast 20 of them were singing. Once the deer jumped the fence. All quit but 4 mine being 1 of them. Jumped the fence and continued running the deer. I chased them down an scaterd them. They all new they screwed up.
I have no way to proof read my post or really even fix anything onced typed. Sorry it is so hard to read.

boys I dont like the fact that a dog gets a win front hunt either but the fact is if theres no running the dogs standing in the trail looking listening what good is that doing you it sure aint ganna get u a rabbit up and runing at least the select few that r hunting has alot better chance and I agree with that...... this crying about no running and its the judges falt abd everything other excuse... is funny guys its a snow trial and one that hunt and trials in it knows u get great running and horribal running thats the way its goes if ya dont like it move down south and u wont have this problem....

chapko this was directed towards you I was even at the trial .. ive judged way to many trials on the snow n have ppl complai about o its the judges falt they didbt pick up the right dogs I judge strictly large pack just sick of the gallery seeing a little bit of the race and think that it should have.went another way .. I wasnt at the trial I couldnt tell u how it went n.im.not sayin.u blowing smoke out ur a$$ just sick of ppl complaining about sow trials in general its a touch n go subject... I will give u this chapko u say wats on ur mind dont sugar cote it just like.my fallin buddy

If guys did what you say then shame on them for talking out of both sides of their mouths.
And if your dog took to deer or was just following the pack either way he wasn't running a rabbit. I don't care what "pressure" he felt from the pack running cause imo a smart dog will figure out in short order that the pack is full of crap. To me the same applies to a dog that gets drug over the end of the line by other dogs. If he was actually running the track then he should've made the turn and made the rest of the pack look like fools.
Ron taught me a long time ago that a dog is just as guilty for running along as it is for starting an off game race in the first place. He also told me never to be afraid to put my dogs down with a possible deer runner because that is the true test of whether or not a dog is actually broke in the first place.
Not trying to bang on you too bad but stop making excuses for what tank and the others did. Every dog that went should've been scratched imho. As for the rest of your take on the trial as a whole...........with a day like that I have no doubt it was probably not a very impressive showing.

I look at it this way if I were out hunting and my dogs hunted hard, but couldn't circle a rabbit would I still be hungry that day? I do not agree with placing dogs that couldn't circle a rabbit on that day. Especially dogs that took off on trash, and being rewarded for it. I have traveled long distances to trials, and no rabbits are jumped and no hounds were rewarded. I imagine I could make 25 field champions real fast under those conditions too, mine better at least hunt hard and turn down trash if nothing else! Some people hate to hear the truth......I tell it like I see it. Which doesn't always make me the most popular either.

just so everyone understands in Large Pack running off game is not a fault that the judges are to disqualify a hound for. They can if they disire pick up the hounds for disrupting the pack.
Spo does require hounds to be disqualified for running off game when proven by judges. This happend to me at a trial Blue Water 2 dogs started the deer and my dog ran along with them. all 3 were DQ by judge David Cluckey which is a very good friend.
Nothing to do but grab my deer chaser and walk out and shake my head.
Dog has since been fixed
