just got back
just got back from the adirondacks yesterday i went for 3 days by myself. manged to hunt for the 3 days WITHOUT killing a single hare. ran about a dozen over that time but the 6 million acres in the park was too much for me and my 410 mossburg pump. some really good runs but some they had trouble on. seems they would go out 600 yards and circle out there. when id go out to try and cut him off they would go out 300 more yards and circle out there. o well. that's hare hunt'n. maybe i need better dogs but i'm kind of attached to these two. sure was fun though. seasons over the end of march so i still have time to redeem myself. good luck to you guys and gals hunt'n tomorrow.

It's pretty tough cutting a hare off by yourself.

I'm in Northeastern PA, 1/2 hour above Scranton. I've been to Maine a few times 8 years ago. I hunted the Tug Hill Plateau back then on occaison. Just getting back into dogs the past year have 3 males from 17 months to 10 months old. Just getting a small pack going my son will be 8 so hope to get him a good pack of dogs to hunt with in next few years when he's ready.adirondackjoe wrote:do you hunt hares jon? where you at?
