Chappy,
How many GB hounds have you seen run? Most have plenty of foot. Not sure how you thing you have the best when you don't get out to see what's out there. Ignorance is bliss!

I'm not here to debate 13"-15", but I've seen some of those 13" pocket rockets stay on top of crusted snow and the 15" dogs break thru and struggle to fight thru a foot of snow every step of the way. Yes there are both 13" and 15" dogs that can get it done.

Well Chaps i do respect the fact you have nice big hounds----------------------My breeding is very similar to yours, however we came thru differnt doors to get at the same room. With that being said i have never seen a Gb hound run however i am use to alot of hunt i have recieved alot of Of text and phone calls saying they lack the hunt i am a customed to. Right or wrong thats the word on the street. But i value everyones take, especially Jim Halls i have watched him over the last year or so rediect his bloodline towards them, so with that on the table. I have never met Jim but i do believe he has a handle on it. I dont really care for you disrespecting these guys they feed and train as you do. We as a whole think we got the best. At least i think pretty high of mine. Records dont lie and myths fade. Greenbay and Mr Joe another man i dont know sure are setting the bar pretty high. Once again thanks for the opinions i like to lay it on the Table, as always.Keep em Coming. Once again ANYONE Can buy another mans breeding what you Breed and bring with your cross is what perks my ears. ;)

I think if your brutally honest then you will look at a cross and think there is no way its gonna miss, I have done it dont always work, Certain studs crosses just seem to work better. I am guilty of breeding pretty tight, lets just say i got my reasons. The all time favorite cross i personally liked was Junie over Primetime Bitches, it just worked well for me. However after selling him i have seen the wells hit on some pretty nice crosses, All the Greenbay hounds i have heard of seem to of had Joe having a hand in it. Lets just say he was not hitting trials, would everyone be nuts over them? No exposure i think not. These trials get ya on another page that few can walk. I dunno it all but lets keep it real. What got ya started down the path? I never heard of them or him till---------------------Hunt results on here. Must be pretty nice though, best of luck to all.

I take NO credit for Green Bay other than I am blessed to have a good job to allow me to own a couple of them. I have an EVEN better WIFE who lets me fuel my desires.

Joe K. has been the architect of the building and he owns it, I guess I bought a couple apartments in it. LOL!!

Seriously, thanks for the credit but none is deserved. I am simply enjoying some hounds that suit me real well. May not suit all, but I can't deny they give you good effort when pursuing a rabbit under the gun, but again that is what Joe K. bred them to do. I find it a solid foundation who will sell his best and still be competitive with the next "Batch" if you will.

I say thanks to Mr. Green Bay for allowing me, a semi-sophisticated redneck, to own some very nice hounds!!!

He will keep putting pics in the books with his up and comers. Congrats Joe.

Jim once again i dont know you from Billy Bob, i do respect what ya think, your are grabbing the line by the horns. I am just waiting for you to figure the learning curve and bred to Blue Bud so i can ride the wave. Not the field trial wave just the BAOTB Wave so to speak. If they all stop tomorow as for me i will feed what can jump and run its own rabbit to overtake its game. Thanks again for the responses, kinda like setting around the ol feed mill swapping stories, just with wi fi. Take care fellas and keep ur gunpowder dry.

Mr. Abshire Blue Bud is in the plans, too much raw hunting power in those hounds I watched off of him not to take a double Shooter female there. Lowell and I have discussed that many times, matter of fact that came up today in conversation. Take care and good running to all!

mn_beagleboy wrote:I really want to see a dog that will run the hare down like chapkos dog. This could be my last winter trial for the year. I'm not here to start any problema, if I offend any one, please let me no. Chap calls me out that his dog will whoop my dog for 100 dollar. I don't want to bet with him, I just want to get to see his dog runs against field trial dogs. To chapko, I want to see internet legend run under an akc judge. Calling out to chapko, I will offer u a better deal this time. Free register to one dog 15" male, free breakfast n lunch, 200 for 1st, 100 for 2ND, 50 3rd, 25 4the. U won't have to spend a penny when u get there. This is a once in a lifetime deal. If your dog don't do very well, I promise to keep my mouth shut. If your dog wins, I will come on here n brag about it. Plus I will breed n get pups from your kennel. Let me no chap. Go to nmha n event is at baydenoc. See u there chap.

This is hilarious. There is nothing like seeing an Internet champion called out and see him share all the reasons why he can't show up. One of the things a life time of competing has shown me is that you better not brag until you run your dog at the show. All the talking Chap has done and here is his chance. He could show his stuff or suck water like a deep well pump.

I agree with BCBeagles on GB Hounds, and i'll add that my 3 yr old GB Shooter female may not suit everyone but she sure suits me and has a home here for life. She runs med speed, lots of hunt, handles great, has a screaming high pitch bark you can pick out of a pack and you here it every step she makes when running a rabbit and is makeing a pretty good jump dog too.

I called Joe three or four years ago wanting on the bandwagon, then decided my boy and his baseball were more important for the time being, but now that I'm back into running dogs again, I wouldn't be to proud to give it a try.
