Use of topical ivermectin

Post by HM »

Has anyone determined whether or not the topical ivermectin is safe to use on dogs? This is applied the same way Biospot, on the skin. If so, is it difficult to adjust the dosage? This seems to be a very user friendly method to administer a preventative wormer/ wormer.

I have seen this in the store. Is this safe for dogs? After reading the box, it seems to be pretty easy to apply. Has anybody tried this?

I have no idea if it would be absorbed well if at all in the canine. I am somewhat leary of it in general, as I have personally seen "wormy" cattle that had received topical ivermectin.
