A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
Well another great day in the field with my 7 year old son and the dogs. After a great race old Lidge made a great shot to put the meat on the table once again. Now that's happy times.

He has a rossi with thumbhole stock and interchangeable barrels. He is using the 410 in that picture. There is not many boys that don't love the sport of rabbit hunting, just seeing them getting excited waiting on the rabbit to come by is worth all us dads go through trying to get them the perfect shot. Take a kid hunting and makes someone's day.

FANTASTIC!!! That is awesome. I was 10 when I shot my first with a 20 ga. single shot, 64 years ago. Can remember it like it was yesterday. You've got yourself a partner there, by- golly.

Thanks guys I would hunt all season just to see a kid get to kill one rabbit. It has made mine love the sport of beagle hunting and has truly created a monster LOL. This is a great sport and we need to get the young ones involved to keep it alive. They are the future of the sport. God Bless to all and happy briar busting.
