alpha compass pointer
the arrow on my compass that points toward the dog sometimes points in the complete opposite direction. i just did the updates to it and spoke with a garmin rep. that says the updates should fix the problem. anyone else had this issue? hopefully it works.

Re: alpha compass pointer
How far do you have to walk before you find out our going the wrong direction? I'm still old school and this doesn't sound like progress...

Re: alpha compass pointer
The 320 I have will not even calibrate the compass. It just says to keep tyring it and never works when you do the flip thing
God isn't real, Beer is good and people are crazy, there I fixed it.

Mine is working fine also.
Re: alpha compass pointer
I have the 320. When I have to re-calibrate, I stand well away from the vehicle, hold it level and turn it very slowly. Sometimes, it can be frustrating but if it is level and slow, it generally will work. Seems like it needs to be done when you change locations by about 10 miles or more or if I use the vehicle antenna on the unit.

Re: alpha compass pointer
Every time after changing the batteries in my 320 I have to recalibrate the unit. Not a big deal anymore only takes a few seconds and I also stand well away from buildings and trucks.

No I'm saying they had an update to address the problem. I update my electronics whenever I buy them, you can update from their website....you need to download their WebUpdater program and then you can do updates from there. You need to update the handheld as well as all the individual TT10 collars.
