bmgreen91,
I used to hunt that area all the time. Go in off Werkner Rd,drive as far as you can, walk in too the big swamp to the left of what we calleed the fire. There was also lots of rabbits to the right going to the Island Lk boat launch.
Good Luck

Stay south of I-94. The ones to the north are all spoken for. ;)

No such thing as a "mess" of rabbits our way. And like everyone else I'd imagine it would be ruff for anyone to tell you there honey holes for them to just get shot up. But a lot of land to hunt just got to get out and explore
!! Good luck

To be completly honest with you, and I'm sure everyone says this until they get the info. But if you tell me you will tell me if I dont shoot any then you have my word. I got young pups that I'm getting ready for a trial and I want to run something other than lake Hudson. You have to leave some spots well populated so that way you have spots like such that there is a abundance of rabbits.

Guy`s the Jackson area South of Grass Lake off Norvel Rd Is where I do most of my hunting when I come to Michigan, thousands of acres. There are big Cattail Swamps there. Love it.

I have heard of that area around Grass Lake. I'm assuming if you are coming all the way up here to hunt there must be a good amount of rabbits out there.

Plenty, lots of drainage ditches which might be thin ice so keep a listen on your hounds. I was born in Mo,moved to Mi at ten. I know the area like I know the back of my hand. HUH Buck :) Horse pasture, swamp Duffey`s, Mudder Mtn, YEP I do and there is. Ya just gotta get off the road and have some pretty fair hounds which I`m sure you do if your gonna travel.

Hate to break the bad news to you but your going to be disappionted the the rabbit population in waterloo rec. area. Live in Dansville hunt all over state land in this area. At night you might get a rabbit or two, but real tuff in the daylight. Just not many rabbits at all, the few that are around are underground. Good Luck
