Re: bloodlines
gwyoung, a comment like that is a thread killer, running another mans dog down. the question was whats the hot blood lines out there...i think you should run with a few diffrent ones and see what you like.
Re: bloodlines
Maybe GW wasn't serious, or at least I hope not. Too each his own. I have a heavy Indian Hills male that does decent. I enjoy the Ranger Dan dogs and variations of them, maybe a little early with mouth for some, but as a gunhunter I like there abilities to get the rabbit back to the gun efficiently.
I would agree with Ron, go and look some hounds over and see if they fit what you enjoy to hunt. Good luck.

Re: bloodlines
Iv'e had really good turn outs with ausable river, paycheck, meachum bloodlines. pups start very young, lots of hunt, foot and grit, big nose's!!! and they run back to the gun!!!. Their is alot of good dogs out there.but these bloodlines been good to me. many thanks to dell gerstenberger and zambron.
Re: bloodlines
Conroe, I guess some of us see things as how we would like them to be instead of how they are! I assumed that he got out of hounds because his original place was too small, and now wanted to get back in because he had a bigger place in the Country where he could now do them justice. Read his first sentence. And for you to say I was running the man's dog down , is ridiculous, he doesn't own one. If you would have said I was running down one of the bloodlines mentioned you would have been just as wrong. ( and I think that was what you were trying to say, as no individual dogs were mentioned only bloodlines) If let's say as you incorrectly assumed that I was speaking of let's say the Branko bloodline. Because I or anyone else would not own one does not mean we are running them down, it simply means that we have no use for this type of hound. If you will research my posts you will see where I have said the krpans, are one of the top two or so breeders, EVER, and If I was running hare under the circumstances that they were , they would be the first place I would go for hounds! But I have absolutely no use for a Branko hound. Same as some others would have no use for the bloodline I run. I don't get all puffed up, red faced ,and start slobbering when someone says they have no use for the line I run, they just simply have no use for them ,end of the story.

Re: bloodlines
Black Creek........... You can get them that run just about any speed you desire. Most have lots of hunt, line control, and are good in the check area.
Re: bloodlines
Branko, turbo, mark 5, trails, superdog. Bluemax, Junie. all sorts of good ones i haven't had the chance to run yet also. I like my dogs to have Brains jump wheels as much line control as the can and check power. I hear glomski has some real nice hounds as well.

Re: bloodlines
if every one liked the same type of hound there wouldnt be any kind of compatisions to compete against and there would be only one type of bloodlines take the good with the bad i say go to a few different events get ahold of different people i know there are many different types of hounds and i for one would be more than willing to let you come and run with me to see what i got im always looking for people to sit on tail gate drink a couple cold ones and bs peoples oppenions dont matter to me i love what i feed so say what you want no hard feelings here you got your opinions and i got mine your the one putting the money out dont be satisfied with second best

Conroe, Now you know what was in my mind when I posted, on top of every thing else you are also a mind reader, you must be a lot of fun around the house. And I didn't try to correct anything , you know nothing! I said what I meant, But just for the heck of it, if you are asking me if I would continue to run Hounds if all I could own was Branko hounds the answer would be no, I would quit, as I have stated I have no use for them, nothing wrong with that, I don't need to correct this statement as you may also believe, it is correct as it stands. I will bet there are quite a few folks who don't have any use for my type of hounds as well but unlike you I don't get all red-faced and slobber mouthed about it, They have every right to like what they choose and unlike you just because they may quit if they had to run my type of hounds, I wouldn't believe they didn't know what they are doing and that I can read their minds! jumpnrun, What are you yapping about, If you don't agree with some things I have said that is fine, How about just simply saying so while I am posting my opinion on the matter. I would be more than glad to hear what you have to say that differs from what I think on any of the matters at hand, How about being a man about it and posting where you differ from me on the thread and at the time it is happening, I am sure that others would be interested in hearing your views as they differ from mine as they occur instead of hearing you yapping a mile down the road.
