Romney was probably the closest to Obama in philosophy of all the republican candidates. The eastern establishment of the republican party almost always selects the candidate. As Rush has stated, the eastern establishment republican party would rather come in second and be invited to the social events in NY and Washington, DC than win the Presidency and not be invited.
That is why we are in the mess we are in.
Newt I don't think his philosophy is why he lost. I think he failed to stand behind his philosophy is why he lost. In life you have to stand sometimes for things that are not popular. Romney refused to stay put on the issues. Rush is to the extreme right which I don't agree with. I listened to him the day after the election and he turned my stomach.
His changed from day to day --it's simple Romney lost because he was a Liar,,A non American a non Patriot and a non Christian,,,Who had no idea's what he was doing ,,and don't forget he ran the Most bigoted racist Republican Campaign in modern history.And he attacked women ,worker's,voter,union's,,SO He lost

I watched the news a few minutes ago and was wondering, if Obama, Hillary, and Petraeus, would absolutely refuse to protect their friend and diplomat, why do you think you have any value to this government?
During Congressional Investigation, Petraeus has to mend his marriage so he can't testify, Hillary has to go to Australia, and Obama has to go to Burma. Leading from behind again.
Hillary should be an expert at testimony. She has a lot of experience after the White Water investigation. I hope her memory has improved. Her defense, I have no recollection of anyone named Stevens, probably won't be sufficient.
