I had a great time guys. I love that country up there along with the good people and food. I may have gain a pound or two over the week.
Nothing like pounding hare for a week. Maybe one of these days ol papaw will retire and move up there.
Hounds ran well but the pups did an outsatnding job for their first time on hare. I really liked mine.
Del, hold down the fort until next year and we'll do it all again!

Just got back today had fantastic running but got run out of one spot by a pack of wolves. They were out about 200 yards from the dogs and i started shooting into the air and calling the dogs it was pretty intense for a little while. hearing that pack howling and getting closer sure made what little hair I got stand on end. It was in the same location that Howard lost Razor was hoping to find him. If I go back I will have to find some diffferent running spots. I love the hare running but it's not worth loosing a good dog

It looked like Howard had a tracker on razor, did you never get a signal?

Hog Island Road is where several Wolves have been seen. Another area is the Road from Epoufette to Rexton.

We have Never had any problems with Wolves. We shoot ( and miss ) alot. Running large packs helps. The Wolves I've seen were getting out of Dodge advoiding human contact.

Good luck on your trip. The running is great up there right now.
