We don't know if they sway elections but the sway political campaigns. Obama has quit the slanderous remarks about Romney. Romney has shown they were lies that are only believed by left wing loons like Chris Mathews and two or three on the board.

-Finally -Obama showed -just How Much of a liar -Romney is --and -now started to expose many more of his lie's -

But -Romney is still slandering the President -still disrespecting America at every turn - I don't really know -if Debates have any -effect on Campaign's --especially when Romney -goes on and Tell's some -LIes he has not old -Before at least not in public.

If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered

Honestly, I would say a few people may be influenced by the debates but I think most people these days vote for their party and the debates don't mean a hill of beans to them. At least it seems that way around here. Every democrat I have talked to believes Obama has won both debates and every republican I have talked to believes Romney has won both. People go into the debates blinded by their party lines and I don't think it matters much what they say. JMHO.

Actually Dale I think you are right on. If you are a conservative or right leaning republican or a liberal or left leaning democrat, the debate makes no difference who you will vote for. Having said that if your a moderate or right leaning democrat or left leaning republican the debate could definitely sway your vote.
