Sportmix black bag 24/20 -- decent price, dogs did good on it, clean up on concrete was awful.

Black Gold-- price getting higher, quality control lacking (kibbles from other feeds occasionally found in bag, chunks of grease build up), dogs did good on it, but it's hard to find locally.

Diamond Naturals-- dogs did great, stools great, liked it alot, but one too many recalls to ever feed again

Southern States Pro Balanced-- no complaints, just hard to find certain formulas locally

Purina Pro Plan Shredded Blend-- currently feeding it and like it. Clean up is a breeze and dogs look good on it, easy to find, but rough on the wallet. That being said, I don't have to feed nearly as much of it per dog as I was with the cheaper feeds. I just find it unfortunate Diamond couldn't get their act together. The only real difference I noticed between Diamond Naturals and the Pro Plan is about $10 a bag. Oh well my piece of mind is worth that I suppose.

Correction this is the best my dogs have ever looked...only problem with raw was once i got back up above 5 dogs again I could'nt keep up with it...freezing and thawing and cook rice, and peas, carrots it was like cooking for 5 more kids......I've been happy with Pro Plan since I've started feeding it though!

I have 2 great danes, 1 walker coonhound and 2 beagles. I only feed meat. no veggies, occational left over rice from the rice cooker. I do have a dedicated freezer and tub by the woodstove for thawing. Road kill deer are a blessing!
