FLIP -OR-FLOP

Post by Pine Mt Beagles »

SO THERE GOE'S -YOUR -ABORTION ARGUMENT--

Two faced liar? Romney flip-flops on abortion again--

What does Mitt Romney really stand for?---------NOTHING-!!!!!!!!

Mitt Romney--abortion and Women's Right's-

Mitt Romney’s latest Etch-A-Sketch moment arrived yesterday, when Romney told the Des Moines Register that despite past promises to attempt to overturn Roe v. Wafe, his agenda actually does not include plans to try to restrict abortion through legislative action.

Romney’s exact quote was: “There's no legislation with regards to abortion that I'm familiar with that would become part of my agenda.”

Considering that Romney’s running mate, Paul Ryan, has introduced several bills seeking to restrict abortion, Romney’s sudden abortion flip flop forced his campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul to contradict her boss and reassure the conservative National Review that Romney “would of course support legislation aimed at providing greater protections for life.”So did Romney lie again or what--

Huh? So who should voters believe – Mitt Romney or Mitt Romney’s campaign? At this rate, Romney will be in support of gay marriage by this time next week.

Mitt Romney Flip Flops

“I believe that since Roe v. Wade has been the law for 20 years we should sustain and support it.
“Roe v. Wade has gone too far.

“I don’t line up with the NRA.
“I’m a member of the [NRA].

“I like mandates. The mandates work.
“I think it’s unconstitutional on the 10th Amendment front.

“I respect and will protect a woman’s right to choose.
“I never really called myself pro-choice.

“I saw my father march with Martin Luther King.
“I did not see it with my own eyes.

“I supported the assault weapon ban.
“I don’t support any gun control legislation.

“I think the minimum wage ought to keep pace with inflation.
“There’s no question raising the minimum wage excessively causes a loss of jobs.

“I will work and fight for stem cell research.
“In the end, I became persuaded that the stem-cell debate was grounded in a false premise.

“I would like to have campaign spending limits.
“The American people should be free to advocate for their candidates and their positions without burdensome limitations.

“I’m a strong believer in stating your position and not wavering.
“I changed my position.

“Detroit needs a turnaround, not a check.
“I’ll take a lot of credit for the fact that this industry’s come back.

“I’m not in favor of privatizing Social Security or making cuts.
“Social Security’s the easiest and that’s because you can give people a personal account.

“I’m not trying to return to Reagan-Bush.
“Ronald Reagan is… my hero.

“I’ve been a hunter pretty much all my life.
“Any description of my being a hunter is an overstatement of capability.

“If Massachusetts succeeds in implementing it, then that will be a model for the nation.
“What works in one state may not be the answer for another.

“It was not my desire to go off and serve in Vietnam.
“I longed in many respects to actually be in Vietnam and be representing our country there.

“It’s a tax cut for fat cats.
“I believe the tax on capital gains should be zero.

“Relative to the leading candidates, some people see me as being more conservative.
“I’m not the most conservative candidate.” “I’m not the most conservative candidate.

“The TARP program… was nevertheless necessary to keep banks from collapsing in a cascade of failures.
“When government is… bailing out banks… we have every good reason to be alarmed.

He did not flip or flop on this. Another attempt to twist what he said which was he had no legislation agenda regarding abortion. He also said he would by executive order stop tax payer funding of abortion domestic and foriegn. No flip flop this time just leftist babble.

Woods that could be true, how long ago was that. When Obama for president in 2007 he said he supported traditional marriage too. Hows that worked out.

He has also said he supported abortion when the mothers life was in danger. I think that was a little more than a month ago. And you are right about same sex marriage and Obama. I don't agree with abortion or same sex marriage. I also don't think they should be decided by government. I don't like liars either.

Woods you apparently haven't read many of my posts as I have said many times that I don't agree with abortion but in the case of rape, incest or the mothers health I don't have a problem with it. The only hard stand I have on abortion is that it NOT be tax payer funded in any case, period.

I wasn't directing my post at you. I was only pointing out that Romney's position changed.

Politcians lie all the time. I don't trust any of them. The simple point of my post was that you said he didn't change his position. I pointed out that he was pro choice in his race for governor.

My point is he didn't change his position in the interveiw PMB was talking about, you know context of this topic. If you have read my past posts flip flopping is one of the if not the biggest reason I have never been a Romney fan. Having said that he is far better than Obama who has been outright lieing about Benghazi for last month.

I agree about Libya being lied about. But honestly Romney scares me. I think he will say one thing and mean another. I can't get a clear understanding on where he stands on anything because he says one thing and then his campaign comes back and says something differant. There are so many things being omitted from his speeches. He is not always lieing just giving half truths. I am not posting this for an arguement. I am not defending Obama or trying to make Romney look bad I am simply stating what I see. Does this not concern any one else. I know that a lot of you will paint me as a liberal for saying what I have said. But 20 some odd days from the election I just don't believe him.

Well woods if you can't look around you and see this country is heading the wrong way nothing I say or Romney says is going to matter. Right now you have your job and the market has made some recovery but if the debt is not got a hold of your 401k and your job may be next. Romney is not perfect as I said he's far from it but he has been a successful buisness man so he should be able to give buisnesses some confidence and maybe get the economy heading in the right direction, maybe not but Obama is going to continue down this same failed road 4 more years. You can only manipulate the numbers for so long, you can only lie for so long. Whens Obamas record going to alarm you. Obama is believable, when!!

Tell me what has Obama been successful at, Lieing and dividing don't count.

one Republican on Abortion

Republican Rep. Scott DesJarlais pressed mistress to get an abortion, report says

Freshman Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-Tenn.), an anti-abortion rights physician, once had a relationship with a patient and tried to persuade her to get an abortion.

The report references a transcript of a phone call in 2000 between DesJarlais and a woman with whom he had reportedly had a sexual relationship. According to the transcript, DesJarlais and the woman engaged in a back-and-forth over the prospect of her getting an abortion, with DesJarlais at one point telling the woman “you told me you’d have an abortion.”
When asked for a comment on the Huffington Post story by The Fix, a DesJarlais spokesperson didn’t deny the report, but wrote off the new development as old news.

“This is old news from the last election
