For Arguements SAKE, Most Consistant hound line, OPINIONS??

Before I say another word I have to apologise for one big omission----- ARHA World Champion,IFC Greenwell's Reggie.I own females out of Reggie and his littermate brother FC Turbo Charged Thunder Blue that I have championed out in the trials.I like them very much.[Reggie's mother is a Ninja half brother x sister cross ].
Mr. Hall,I have to honestly say that I have yet to see the first Ninja blooded hound that I thought was any kind of shy.I can assure you that none of my current hounds suffers from that trait and I believe I could give you the names of the owners of pups from the twelve litters that I've raised over the past sixteen years [all Ninja linebred top and bottom ] and I don't think a one of them would be what any beagler would say was a shy hound.
Not saying that there couldn't be some out there but have followed this line since early 90's and this is the first time I have heard the shyness trait brought up concerning them.

YES WE HAVE HAD THEM OUT SIMBA,TIMBER JACK, BLUE MAX HIS SSTERS, SEVERAL BY BLUE BARRY FOUND TO BE THE FRIENDLIEST DOGS WE EVER OWNED PUPS OUT THEM THE SAME ALL HAD ABPVE AVERAGE NOSES AND STAYED BZ HUNTN HAD LEVEL HEADS.

Brankos Jack of all Trades,then his sons,Ninja,Heli-prop,Lumberjack,Jackpot,Hardrock;fruit dont fall to far from tree!Then you got Bluebarry,Turbo,Primetime,now Reggie,Kueka Blue,Bluemax,Sport,Red River Runner,etc.Copperboy produced well also.Nice consistant line of hounds that keep on producing hard running dogs!

NORTHWAY/ REFFETTS KY MTN really works well with us here at skyline rabbit beagles.

I agree with Timmy. As far as consistency, it is hard to beat the true all around rabbit dawgs of Reffett's kennels.

I agree with Darryl on the Cryon Line. The Steeves have been one of the most dominant kennels for 40 or so years in North America. It seems that in the past 5 to 10 years it has even become more prevelent. As far as consistent, there hounds run the same way...and usually they find themselves on the podium at the end of the day.

Another kennel that has not been mentioned is the Windbeam Mountain Kennel owned by the Petteruti's. Thirteen field champions, 2 for International, one National champion, sevel hounds that liked wins for their Field Championships and Field Trial Championships. In 30+ years they've only outcrossed twice, once to IFC Tallgrass Snap and once to IFC Cowbay Striker, for the most part they have down well focusing on IFC Brad Ju's Bella Donna.

these 2 are littermates they are the product of 2 of our Laneline hounds.
they have a mix of old yellow creek
Dingus , Indian hills, (old Larry Perry stock) and
Happyrun's Calico Clem. (Dan Kane)
Hunt, Nose, brains, line , tight check work with upper med speed.

Being a Michigander I am going to make a shameless plug for the guys of the Michigan Hare Association. I would say either Ken Racine with Birch Lake beagles or Jim Meachum with Meachum's beagles are the two most consistant breeders of their line of hounds. Joe K. with Green Bay has been very consistant but has only been doing what he is doing for a fraction of the time. Meachum and Racine have been producing blue ribbon true rabbit dogs for 30 years or more with few to no breaks in produceing excelence. Take a look at Better beagling and you will see Meachum or Birch Lake dogs on the podium every weekend and those dogs are gunned over every week. JMOH
