never again!!!!

Post by wvden »

i just got in from a 5 mile walk tracking down my new pup! we finally got some rain in these parts and i went out to feed my two hounds and there was a rabbit laying in the field next to my barn. it bein about 70 degrees, i said its on! opened the kennel gate and let'em fly! after about a 30 minute chase my oldest went silent so i figured race over. i called them in and only my oldest showed. i put her in the kennel and off i go on a hunt of my own. i circled about 5 miles and showed back up to my house to see my 4 yr old and pup playing in the yard! :angryfire: NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER, WILL I TURN MY HOUNDS LOOSE WITHOUT AN E-COLLAR EVER! NEVER EVER, NEVER NO-WAY,, HUH UH, NOT HAPPENIN, AIN'T GONNA DOIT, NOPE, NOTTA!

Glad you got them back, it is tough to teach a pup the ropes out in the field and its always frustrating until they figure out the routine. The shocker is a big ole improvement since the ole day, huh?
