Re: Dog Hog
The only people I ever delt with that could be called maybe Dog Hogs were dog traders.Yes I know, but when you are young and starting out it was hard to tell the difference between breeders/hunters and some traiders. If you deal with them some they will teach you the difference.I'm not sure this applies to traiders except for sheer quanity of dogs that they had on hand and turned over.Everything was for sale though, except the one you showed interest in,a week later they would be at your house with it offering to make a good deal on the best dog you've ever seen..
I have more dogs now than I need,I'ed sell any of them, there are a few though, that I like enough that I'ed ask way more than they were worth.I have raised my owne stuff for a long time now and if I have a problem with my dogs I have no one to blame but myself.

Of course, most of you realize that this whole post was in jest. There are such things as Dog Hogs. The term is generally used by old timers and also in jest. I guess you need a lot of cold nights around the campfire to understand some of these things. Or else, growing up in a family such as mine where everything is a story and every story is a memory. Then, when you get real old, you can't tell the difference.
