I want to be cool like a lot of other people when they comment on a thread. I want to use these "smilies" over at the side of the page but I need a quick tutorial on how to do it? It may be simple to you, but I don't know the secret.

Buck, I am not that old, but I am technologically challenged and somehow prefer that. I just learned how to operate our latest toaster and we have had it for two years now. I had to be out of state last year so my wife finally made me get a cell phone. don't ask me to do anything on it other than call or answer( I think this is all a phone should do, and believe it or not , my watch only tells time, ) I would rather take the time to write a letter and mail it then send an e-mail but it appears no one knows their physical address anymore! I am g :D lad you asked the question, I didn't know how either.

GW: I bet you have a little gray in your hair. :D :D My wife keeps telling me I should learn new things like take Spanish or some other foreign language just to keep my mind fresh. Well, I have no use for that. I agree totally on the cell phones. Sure do interfere with your hunting. I only get one call a day or so anyway. Most people can't put up with me. Don't know why, I think I am pretty sweet.

Now that I have discovered these smilies, look out beagle world. :D :) :bozo:

Buck, as far as I know there are only two people on this planet that know my cell phone number. And they both know that I don't enjoy talking on the phone. ( if it can wait until I get home , then let it wait) I don't think it has rang this year yet!

I have a cell phone for emergencies when I go running beagles alone. I drove out of state once to pick up a couple of pups. I took the cell phone to call, once I arrived, to get further instructions. I couldn't get the thing to work. Luckily it was a small town. A lady at a gas mart told me how to find him.
Later the phone inadvertently got turned off. I tried all the buttons and couldn't get it working. I stopped at a radio shack and asked the sales lady if something was wrong with the phone. She said, you don't have it turned on. I discovered you have to hold the "on" button down for a few seconds to turn it on.
Fortunately I have a patient and understanding son, who majored in Computer Science, and lives close or I wouldn't be so technically competent. ;)

I just got one these cell phones and found out across from the "send" button, is a "end" button that turns it on an off. That why it always dead I guess, every time I opened it, it was alwasy on and I didn't know how to turn it on or off.
My wife trying to figure out this tex thing but it so slow I said, "why don't you just call 'um up!
I got no use for this thing other than when being away from home. It say "you got messages", but how in the world do you get to 'um? I don't't care.

I can see it now, I get lost, they find me in the woods with my phone in my hand and wonder, "why didn't he just call for help"... didn't know how to turn it on

This is great. I don't feel quite so alone any more. My wife forces me to take a cell phone because I have had some health issues. I don't know the cell phone number and either forget the phone at home or forget to turn it on when I have it. If I do have it and it is turned on, it scares the crap out of me when it rings.

I tell you what Buck, i took one my buddies and his brother hunting and the hound hit a rabbit and went to the fer end of the field and circled time and time, I turned round to say we might as well go down there as they ain't coming back and they both off towards the truck talkin on them phones, made me mad so i goes on by myself to the hounds. They talked the whole trip to someone on those phones all the time an it just ruined the hunt,... it was like they'd rather been somewhere else instead of hunting.

I told my wife, it hard enough to remember the shock collars and turn on the trackers, now I got to remember a phone too!
This hunt'n is becoming to much like work... :bozo:

I don't know this phone number but most the fellers got this caller ID so they got yur number when you call um. You can put number in here but I aint got that fer yet.

OMG,
I'm so glad you guys came out of the closet as I was and still am in it as well. All this high tech stuff just blows my mind and I like you guys never wanted folks to know how technically challenged I was. I went for the longest time not knowing how to get those little faces on my post and then one day I got to clicking that left button only to see one pop up. I was amazed at hoe ity happened but wasn't sure what I had done. I've also got one of them cell phones but it is only a second for my wife's phone so the textin part cost extra money. Mine was and is for emergency only as I carry it mostly now that I'm retired when i'm out hunting or traveling. I see these videos and pictures guys take with their cell phones but I really have no clue how that may be done. I've finally been able to master the e-mail and connecting to this website but I still ain't able to do much more on this typewritter with a picture. I swore I'd never use a computer BUT when my job started making them the sole means of communication I got some education on using them. Weern't long that I retired as once I got the hang of a program they would change it and I was lost AGAIN! AAAHHHH, now no more stress as I can plunk around with no pressure.
