I too would not of bought a dog that did nothing at a trial run.

Dogs can change and one great today might change overnight and not be worth a hoot tomorrow.

I'm sure Bobby was telling the truth, but a dog can make a liar out of you in a minute.

he probably will be a great dog in the futire, but, he may also not be worth a darn.

I put the best walker female i ever owned up for sale when i decided to quit the coon hunting . I think she was around 7 or 8 at the time had owned her since 15 months . She went hunting every night i unsnapped her pleasure hunting or comp hunting she made grand in ukc and ch in pkc , she lived to hunt coon no matter when or where till the man from ohio took his time to come try her , i had no excuse other than i think she knows I'm trying to sell her and i suggested i pay him his gas round trip. He said lets try her again, after we moved to the 4th drop she cranked up treed a coon and another on the outside . He told me he had been trying dogs , buying dogs for 3mths and that was the first one that had coon he wanted her. I hope she did well for him as i never herd anything else . I lost his number her name was lady big screaming bawl on ground bawl chop tree and hop at the tree some body may have hunted with her . I'm sure she has passed away now so RIP ROCK RIVER LADY U SHOWED ME WHAT COON HUNTING WAS ALL ABOUT AND A GREAT TIME. I DO KNOW THIS IS THE BEAGLE FORUM JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE .

Thanks Don I appreciate it. Rebar is out of state and being ran daily away from me and so far he is doing fine. That is the only way I am going to know for sure about him. I don't want to put a problem off on anyone. I can always use the money but I can also do fine without it.

I went to buy a dog off a guy and had my eye on a female, pretty much thought it was a done deal till her brother came to the gate when I got close and the guy selling say's that's your dog right there, he don't act like that with me. I did not much care for his look but thought about what the guy said and the dog did seem to like me so I took him. Turned into one of the best I'll ever have owned, some dogs pick you, you don't pick them. Not trying to say anything about your buyer just wish them dogs could talk.I don't know you but can tell you this, I been reading this board for a long time and if I was to go buy a dog from someone you would be high on the list of people I would hope to deal with based on what I have read that you said.Keep the dog or try to sell it again do as you wish,just remember sometimes them dogs know more than we do.

my hats off to you Mr.Vest you are first class. Dogs are smarter than we think and sensitive.My grandmother had a little house dog when she pasted the dog refused all food and died 7 days later at 3 years old.Maybe the dog loves you and figured he goof things up as he wasnt going anywhere. I bet you can drive over to his grounds when you have no intent of selling him and he will be his real self again. i onced owned some hounds years ago that could beat most anybodys dogs when they come to hunt.you takem to a trial they would not half run. they were smart easy to start nose as good around just had strange ways. a hunting buddy gladily bought them as he cared less about trials.

I have been Bff with Bobby as long as i can remember he has been everything from a car salesman to a bar owner but dishonest is one thing i can not recall fitting the bill. He is from the Old School when a mans word meant everything and you could bank on it.
