Sorry...open forum, feeling the need to comment because my answer is not so simple.

No gallery when the hounds are first turned loose, gallery after the pack is cut down to less than 10.

I say this because with multiple rabbits running around and multiple packs running at the same time, nothing is more frustrating to a judge than trying to cut the dogs off only to find out the gallery cut the rabbit off and turned the pack. It prohibits the natural running of the rabbit and irks me as a judge (I have said many times "do you want me to judge your dogs or not!!". However, when the pack is 10 or less the gallery seems to stay together and usually small enough at that time to stay together and be sensible to get out of the way of the rabbit coming through. Plus when the pack is that small it is nice to be able to get some good check work if the rabbit is turned by the gallery...quite harder to see that check with 40 hounds running around.

Just my .02...sorry to comment....looks like 38 handlers and 6 judges have voted so far

What about the section where it talks about where the gallery can watch from a vantage point, and or tower, hill, trail, ext.

I see a tight nit bunch in the large pack community. I can say that it would be easy to pick up the showstopers before the cut if someone wanted to get it out of there. I see alot of judges judging there own hounds or blood.
Most beaglers favor or are bias toward there own blood. I just find it hard to believe that if a guy is trying to make a top stud. That he would not favor or watch his dogs off spring more in a trial situation. He is looking for his blood to win.

I just saying not trying to point any fingers. Just making a valid point being a licenced judge and all :)

I posted this to get a better idea what people want to see at LP. I am not a judge but feel that if a person has traveled several hrs to a trial and the judges have had time to thin down the pack, then for the last couple of hrs the gallery should be able to go in and view the hounds. If the judges have done their job then the gallery should be able to see some nice work by the hounds, reguardless of who's they are. I do think the gallery marshall has to be in control of the gallery and if someone is in there disrupting the run then he should be asked to leave the pen, most are adults and should be able to control themselves in the gallery. I appreciate all that answered the poll. I would have bet a judge would be the first to comment. LOL :D

LOL... ....I know myself as a handler I like to see what my dogs are doing as well but it can be very frustrating as a judge so that was why I was 50/50 on it and only aswered "no" to see where the numbers were, not really fair to your poll.

I have seen first hand guys not have the respect to listen to the gallery marshall and litterally continually cut the pack off by wandering off on their own after repeatedly being told to stay together, some guys can't help themselves. I agree that towards the end there is no reason the gallery shouldn't be allowed in the pen....but they should at least try to stay together.

As soon as I read the other post I quickly realized why you didn't want any comments, same sh*t over and over. Sorry for even posting....
