A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)

Whats a lap pile?
a hollow place, as a hollow among hills.
Usually I hear log piles in cut overs referred to as laps or lap piles where I live.
A local coyote that is what I call a den digger as he will dig them out a hole told me that he once dug a den up on the edge of the city and found 26 dog collars.
I said something to him about this post and that was the story I herd afterwards
I do know people that have had them killed by coyotes. I have been lucky they chased two of beagles off one time and I found them about a hour later and I had one get attacked another time. The coyote must have had pups because she wouldn't run off. I could get about 30-35 yards from her. Now I always take a target pistol.
