I don t know nothing about mearsure a dog but really is there any different in running a rabbit if it 13 or 15 inches in a dog.I can see in snow but out there on ground.Thats the reason I like two couple pack trials. It don t matter.

I agree. Around here all we run is cottontail and usually do not have deep snow. If a 13 inch dog is built right it can hang with a 15 inch dog fine. I own both and run them together. My brother has one that may be a little under 13 and she is often in the front. She is however put together right.

I see 2 Reasons but all IMO and style you like. For me I like 13" hounds. (1) If your in heavy brush a smaller hound can go through faster as opposed to getting stuck or hung up, or going around I feel the 13" hound can follow a better line in thicker cover. (2) If ya got one dog going 90mph (15") and one going 50mph (13") they pass the check area, Which one gets back to it quicker? I say the 13". Again just some feed back on my opinion.

I have a real good female and i hunt with guys with big 15in dogs. After a while she has a hard time keeping up with the big dogs. And also i live in lower Michgan and we get a fare amount of snow.

I measure on how much heart they have. Size doesn't matter to me when it comes to cotton tail.

I used to like the 13" dogs but now give me a big strong 15". When we gun hunt we run 13" and 15" together and the 13" do fine with the big dogs but after 5 hours or more of hunting you can see the big dogs begin to take control.

I used to be dead set on the 13' dogs. I still prefer them, but i won't get rid of a good 15" er. I'll go either way.
