What is wrong with people?

ok lets put it another way then smart$%^ what if you came out of Walmart and someone was leaning on your car while they were talking , would you say anything too them ! people like you are probably the same type of person that hunts from somebody elses treestand just because its on public land ! thats the problem with public land , its full of people like you ! no respect !

I have already stated that I do not hunt on top of people and no I wouldn't hunt in someone elses tree stand. I respect other hunters but if you are hunting on public land then be prepared to deal with the public. If you would fight someone over a rabbit you are just immature. That rabbit is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I would like to see some of you tough guys run up to someone who has as much right to be there as you and give them an ear full only to get a face full in return. You assume I do not respect other hunters because I am not ready to hang the people who did this? One day you will grow up a little and realize how ridiculous this is.

I have many times in the last 8 years i can tell you it is not a pretty sight.. bullets out of the end of a gun have no friends and no way to call tnem back

i think that he had every right in the world to be furious with this man.legal or not,that guy did not have good sense.that being said everyone here would probably have there own way of handling the situation,rather that be right or wrong would probably be in the eyes of the man it happened to.i have read alot of joeymans post and it seems if he takes alot of pride in his dogs and hunting.i dont think the problem he had was with the rabbit at all,i think it was the man shooting it in front of his dogs.when a person puts so much time,effort and money into his hounds he becomes protective over them like children.so if someone had done this to me i would have been furious as well.dont know how i would have handled it,but i dont think we have the right to tell the man he was wrong.

to me with the job i have it is a black and white issue. if the law says it is ok to do then it is just that. I dont always agree with the written law but it is what make our nation what is and not some third world counrty.

i agree 100% with saying each person would have handled it there own way. but i feel like this if you do not want to hear what people think then you should not post it on a public forum for all members to veiw and post there opinion on the matter

Sitting on someone's vehicle or Harley parked on a public street is sitting on PRIVATE PROPERTY! Was the rabbit being shot at, private property, was the property they were both hunting private property? Whoever stated, probably me, "I'd pick up my dogs and move is exactly what I would have done, not only to get them but my hunting party out of harms way. Would this very scenerio have been different if this guy and the boys were hunting away, say over a quarter mile away, moving the opposite direction and the dogs would have ran a long legged rabbit over in front of them? How about if the dogs would have ran a deer and someone deer hunting a mile away on that public land shot it? Standing up for one's rights goes both ways BUT you must be right! Like the song says "You gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away and know when to run."

the thing is,a person can invest alot of time and money in a dog.i am very carefull as to i take in my hunting party as im sure most of us are.fi someone shot a rabbit off them i didnt know out of nowhere i would have been furious.yes i probably would have moved my dogs to if i seen them coming.but if i was already there and they moved in on me and did that im afraid of what the outcome may have been.i definately would not have not said nothing,and i wouldnt have invited strangers to hunt with my dogs.what happens if one of them kill your dog?do you say hey thats cool and invite them again tomorrow?no i dont think so,any kind of real man would beat the snot out of that man.

Oh Boy, the concept of "real men" has been brought up and that is great. One of the Popes once said that "fools rush in, where angels fear to tread". Does this have anything to do with "real men". Does "turn the other cheek" mean nothing to "real men"? Just saying.
