A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
Funny thing is if you look back some years at the field champions in your AKC pedigrees, these are the style those champions had to be good at to become a champion. Dogs that run this way have FC in front of their name just as AKC other style of trials do.
Forget titles, better go see a dog run before breeding to it.
How things and dogs have changed in the AKC UKC, and ARHA beagling world.
i could hold one of these trials in my backyard , would only need about 30 feet ! wondering why they needed leashes ! how could you judge these dogs , what would seperate the bad from the worse !
I figured it out guys. The lead straps are to hook the dogs up and tie them to the horses and help them push that rabbit Seriously though how could that be any fun?
These dogs would put Tri-Tronics and Garmin out of business.
A deer chase would go something like this..."hey Bob, ya better walk over there and leash your dog up...he has been running a deer for the past 30 min"
FC Green Bay Nemasket Singer
FWR Blue Boy's Lightfoot

Thats funny right there , i dont care who you are !
That is what fifty plus years of improving the breed will get you.
They had great "controlled desire".
Believe it or not those beagle's pedigree will have FC Willcliffe Boogie and so will many of the LPH Field Champions.
