Astro 220 was stolen and had to make a decision on Garmin or Sportdog. I like my sportdog 3225, but went with the garmin 320 becasue pf these reasons
1. My friends have Garmin collars and I can Track them also.
2. Map page on garmin.

Jamie, the sportdog has the same sharing feature as the garmin but it does not have a map page.

No i have not. As far as the owners guide goes I'm sure it is smaller. The garmin has a ton of features that you dont need to know how to run to enjoy it. The basic map and dog page is the only ones you need to know how to run for hunting and are very simple to use and understand. I agree no need to make it a competition just curious on how you thought garmin could make this unit easier to use I thought it was about as simple as it gets.
Take your kids huntin and you wont have to hunt for your kids.

Mo beagle---
One way would be to add the birdseye to it already instead of having to buy it, download certain spots and then apply it to the unit...

other than that, its pretty simple to use...
God isn't real, Beer is good and people are crazy, there I fixed it.

How do you do this? I'm able to add my buddy's dog but only if I'm right next to the dog's collar....anymore than a couple feet away and I can't. Is there a trick to it? Can you list the steps for adding a dog from a distance?

For anyone trialing a long way from home, LP would not let you use your sportdog because it is also a trainer. How would you handle that problem?

it's up to the lp judge but you don't have to turn the trainer on. theyare run seperate if he sees when you put your dog down that the trainer is off should not be an issue

Ask your buddy what his ID# is and add the dog, when it ask can you touch the collar, say no. It will ask, do you know dog unit ID and you say yes. Follow through. If the dog is in range you'll pick up the collar,

It's not up to the LP judge. The Master of Hounds has to inspect the collar to see if it has a shocking device. If it is determined to be a shocking device you can't have it on the dog, turned off or not.
