Stony....ROFL....Hey you! I resemble, errr, I mean I resent that remark!
I took em out last night. Let's just say that the results were rather
I've heard of one dog having a bad day, but the whole pack? However, for the most part I have some hard hitting dogs. My 6 month olds are definitely pounding. And just the time I start getting a big head about how well they are doing, we have an experience like last night.
How's that scripture go...."Pride goeth before a fall". Ain't it the truth.

I think between Hare Hunter and I we can round up Doc S and head down. We'll fill my 12' stock trailer with a big smoker and lots of muskrats, raccoons and beavers to smoke. Maybe we can throw a few fish in too. I bet Doc S could save us a few goodies from some of the surgeries he's doing.

I think I might be able to be an interpreter. My Mom's family was all from Kentucky. I think I can still speak both languages quite fluently.

Bring your fire clothes, Hare Hunter! I think with all the BS this will make, it's going to start smoldering and burst into flames!

I think the only fair thing to do is to have the run in the UP.
These kind folks have offered to supply the vittles and the least we can do is go up and help them exercise their hare's. Besides, if they're having beaver, I don't want that stuff spoiling on the trip down, that could be a big stinking mess...now muskrat, on the other hand, is always better with a little aging and the bacterial break down always makes it more tender.
I'm packing the truck Hare, get ready!! ...Patch

Well O.K. patch, but if it is after December 1rst (when gun deer season ends) better pack the snowshoes and long johns. I've eaten beaver and muskrat, depends on who's serving it which I prefer. LOL Hare P.S. The running is great right now and no need for the shoes, yet!

Bring some possums and armadillos and we'll have a feast! John Boy and Billy's grillin' Sauce would make anything taste good. Any time I mess up in the kitchen, I pour a bottle of it out all over the mistake and call it "barbecue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" speakin' of talkin' Kentucky, you put that sauce in a poke when you leave the store with it.

Patch, usually up here we get snow in mid to late November on thru till March or April, as a rule about the first of January you need "shoes" to get around, amazing county and state road service keeps the roads open, about once every 8 to 10 years we'll get The Big One and may be stranded off roads for a couple of days. always lots of fish and hare and deer in the freezer so don't spend one minute of our short time here on earth worrying about. No hurricanes, tornados, mud slides or typhoons, just lots of the white stuff. Hare

By Gawd Emery can't you find enough to do in MO that you have to dream up a goat rope like this! And how did I end up getting myself roped into this deal? Been up here in God's country for 18 months now, and have yet to hear a good reason to leave. I get away from home now, and all I wanna do is get back. Have so much land within minutes of the house I often need to drink a second cup of coffee just to decide where to go! Did take a long trip on opening day to hunt Pat's...I drove 20 minutes and then hiked in 10 minutes. It was worth the long trip though...had 13 points/flushes in two hours. Heading out to run hare in the big country this morning...'nother long trip. Believe it is 12 miles from my door where I am going today! Would invite everyone up here for this big shindig, but I am getting that Northen MI attitude and want all the flatlanders to stay away! ;)
Glad to see everyone is still up to their old tricks.

By gosh doc you do have to go a long way. I had to drive 2 miles yesterday to run, ran all the close spots the 2 days before that. keep those folks in Northern Michigan as we keep a guard at the bridge so not too many can come to the U.P. at once. LOL By the way you may be in Gods country but his area code is 906. LOL Hare

OK, bigfootmi has the solution to your answers for this. He has been officially invited. With a 1 ton Ford and an 8 ton trailer, he should be able to fit just about all your dogs and equipment and take anywhere from the mid-west to the big hunt....
