We ran Sunday and did well, the dogs ran solid all day. It warmed up above freezing and the top layer softened a bit. Pete we are all still looking for that elusive beagle that can get it done anytime anyplace.

Joe and clyde, why don't you get your own board where you can harang peolpe and brow beat them and talk down to them in your superior way you do. You 2 make a good pair and the boards would be much better off without either one of you. Old clyde the pot stirrer who went on the spo board and bashed a man for running a stud ad in a magazine and bashes everyone who doesn't believe in his holy roller religion. Joe the armchair dog trainer that is never ever wrong but he can't show any ideas that work. He thinks he knows it all and doesn't realize how stupid he is because he doesn't have the capacity to learn.

Well out flushed Mr. Jackson. It amazes me when you guys like to "Paul Harvey" someone. Well the rest of the story was...that I (and I said so in the post) regretted ever even mentioning the stud ad (fyi..it was a LP RCH in Hounds and Hunting). I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong...just like with my religion.

When someone showed me the error of my ways...I didn't get mad and swell up like a horned frog...or cry out, "You bashed my religion." I changed. That's what good honest people do when their faced with the truth...they change. The truth will never change...may we have the courage to accept it...live it...and share it.

Mr. Jackson: Don't you mean you would be better off without me because then the discussions would be one sided? Those with the least klnowledge MUST resort to personal attacks because they have nothing else.

No one should get their feelings hurt with a little disagreement over dogs, it's healthy and every once in a while we learn something. That's why we're here isn't it? Bev, thanks for the opportunity to do something semi-constructive during those slow times at work! Just let me get through today and I've got 3 days in a row running dogs. Weather sounds iffy, but we'll run just the same. Good hunting to all!
You're welcome Steve. There are definitely nuggets of gold to be found here if one wants to shake the sifting pan a little and let the non-productive dirt fall through, lol!

Search their name on the board.

West was a beagler from Pennsylvania who owned and was a big promoter of the Little Ireland hounds.
Bob Huffman, if my memory is correct, was a beagler from Iowa who was dedicated to breeding his own strain. Then he had a bad auto accident and suffered some sever injuries. He recovered enough to rejoin the board for a short time. Then he quit posting.

Sorry to hear about Huffman.
Never heard of "the little Ireland" hounds.... West seems to have disappeared too.
