Running in the rain?

Post by 502hunter »

I was just wondering if anybody runs in the rain? I have always heard that there's pretty good running after a rain bout how about during the rain. Does it make it harder on the dogs to find or keep up with the scent?

It just depends on how hard it is rainin. I have had some of my best running during a light to moderate rain.

Scent will never be better than a wet rabbit.

ONLY THING BETTER THAN RUNNING IN THE RAIN IS RUNNING IN THE SNOW!!!! :D
dogs seem to jump n run more rabbits after or during a nice rain than anytime else. Would have been out today running dogs in the rain but for deer hunting season!!

You guys was right, the best running I've ever had, granted I only started 3 years ago. We had 8 good races shot 3 and my son missed 2. We was having so much fun that we didn't even notice the rain, plus its always nice to have a little father son time. We left the house at 7 this morning and didn't get back till almost 5. Thanks for the advice because without it I would have sat in the house like I have for the last 3 years since I started. Today was my first run in the rain and it was great.
