I have an idea!

A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)

 FANTASTIC IDEA, EMERY!!!!!!! And since this was your idea, we are gonna let you be in charge of the barbecue. :chef:
We could contact one of those big dog food companies and they could provide the dog food. Just look at all the exposure they would get.
Bev could have some T shirts printed up with TAB on them and "First Annual BBS Get Together.(We all know that those who post on here regularly are the biggest Beagle Bullsh%$tters that there are around ;) ) Would be good advertisement and a tax write off.
Lynn will have to come up with more than one jar of Eastern KY's finest. Would be more like a 55 gallon barrel. :drunk: Would have to put the cousins on overtime to get it all made up in time. :approve:
Would have to make sure little bitty 98 pound soaking wet Samlyn is there to do all the toting and lifting. We would also need an interpreter to help us southerns understand those yanks. Ya all ever call your front yard a door yard??? She could catch a ride with NYH.
Is there a bathroom in that clubhouse, Blackdirt??????? Someone would need to be in charge of toilet paper. :moon: I figure it would be getting pretty deep before the weekend was up.
Did you say Rebel was gonna come????? Would need a bouncer for sure or maybe some boxing gloves. :bash: :blackeye:
And don't forget Southern. She would need to be there for no other reason than to evacuate from all those hurricanes that blow thru every couple of weeks. She could bring some of those sweet valdalia onions if they all haven't washed or blown away.
Could contact Cabalas to provide some sleeping bags. We could be a test project for them. All the dog hair and other dog by products, barbecue, and liquid refreshment will would certainly test the equipment for durability. Heck, they could also throw in some camp stoves, heaters, lights, and other camping equipment just because we agreed to help them out with their test.
TC will keep us laughing with his great sense of humor. Would also be a chance for the Mrs. to finally get that honeymoon she never got.
I'll keep thinking to see what else we might need.

With a gathering like this there would need to be a person to keep law and order in place at all times and provide a chaperon when needed.I know from listening to you folks on the board from day to day, that all of you were brought up to be respectful of your parents. Now since it would probably be impossible for everyone to bring their parents to watch over them, then I suggest that you invite..........PAPPY.

I don't know BOUT THIS!!! Some of this company is ?able. That eastern KY water usally runs thru old radiators. It's hard to tell what you could get out of Arkansas, beside Illinois, is along way up north and some of them there yellow eyed dogs fron Indiana scare me and another thing that worries me if I do something wrong is some lady kicking me to the curb, this ain't sounding good to me, I'm seeing my glass as half empty on this one, I'm going have to sleep on this one!! Wow some of them names are scary!! think about it !! House husbands, policemen, psy nurses, editors, masons, concrete works, factory workers, loafers, retirees. Thats enough ! Are any of these Undertakers, Thats the last person I want to see!!

yep... got it all. fridge, bathroom, central air/heat. have to see what everyone wants to do, but this is an option that i have available. we have a TON  of rabbits to run and pretty easy access around our spots for the older or "less agile" beaglers.

Nope Patch, if you don't go I ain't either. But with all the needs for this what do you think? Will they need a forest fire fighter amongst them, thinking of bottles of Kentucky feel good that will be passed around, and the speed of some of these dogs if they turn a large pack of fast dogs loose and the grass is dry they may start a fire with all the hot air. Hey Oakhill

I'd like to come to. I have a small seven month old bluetick that just started running his own rabbits today.

He might like to see some of his kin folk!

Emery, while I realize (much more so after reading some of these) that prayer is much needed among this bunch, I also DO have one legitimate running hound. I believe that a bench show is in order, but we should have one in keeping with the spirit of the event. I believe that we should have an ugliest hound contest. Big Malachi would be the hands-down winner. Then we would have an ugliest handler event, in which I, being right man purty, would have to take part in judging. Lynn Perkins probably would run pretty close to the front there. As far as turning them loose on the neighborhood as is the habit of the Saunders family, that may not be too bad an idea. How many urban and suburban backyards are full of rabbits? It would be in keeping with the spirit of the event also. Imagine, check's open until the light turns green again, then no points awarded. Or if we are a gonna shoot 'em, how 'bout trying to shoot under one of them fancy little cars low to the ground without getting any shot in the paint job. Challenging, I say!!!!!!!!!! Reminds me of the night some friends and I drove around the fast food joints around Dry Ridge, Ky letting our coonhounds smell around the dumpsters out back. I never treed that many coons in one night in the mountains. Good thing they ran across the tracks into the woods, though! Hey guys, count the Rameys in, but be sure there is plenty of water. May need to do a powerful lot of baptizin' afterward! Acts 8:35-39.
