We had a large time and some good running. We jumped 16 should have killed more but we did get 11. Great opening day

That is a heck of an opening day Lee, especially with those walkie talkie beagles.

Ya'll must have done a bunch of kick and shoot.

All kidding aside that is really good for opening day. We got beat to the spot that Pete had for us to hunt and had to drive 20 miles to jump 3 rabbits that ran straight to holes. Beat sitting around the house, but it is tough to get good spots here until after the 1st of the year. We do have a good private spot that we will hit on Friday then we will have to travel after that.

To add to that I would have settled for a Bobcat run about lunch time ! Nice kill for Odis. At least I was home in time to watch the Wolfpack whip up on the Tigers !!

Not many smiles after a long hard day of hunting. Just not photogenic I guess. We had some very big running rabbits. Plus we did a little dog training. Ran or tried to run should I say on two different occassions a deer. But that is what you get with young dogs. We will have better spots as well when deer seasons goes out. We never jumped a rabbit. The dogs jumped everyone. Seen alot of quail first time in a long time.
