Taurus Circuit Judge?
Who has one? and what are your thoughts on it, as far as accuracy ,range and etc. Thinking of getting one for rabbit hunting but just wanted to get everyones opinion first. Thanks for your help.

Not sure for bunnies,But had a client up for a bear hunt with hounds, and he killed a 200lbs boar cross'n the road and only went 30yards.The 45 long colt is'nt my preferred choice for bear, but he was comfortable with it and it done the job.Nice feel to it (light).Great sights, and well balanced.Bet it would make a great bunny gun.....

definitely not a bunnie gun. The barrel is rifled and throws the shot in a pattern you could throw a dog through. You can have a choke tube installed that will straighten out the shot charge, much like what they do with the encore barrels and they are much more effective then. I shoot a 12" barrel encore and it is deadly out to 22 or 23 yds, then the pattern opens up substantially. It would be nice to have five shots like the judge but you do learn to make that one shot count with the encore!

I dont kill a lot of rabbits but i use the judge:Itried the 3 in. spread out to far .Went back got the 7 and half inch . Works fine. Probaly 25 yds or less.

Got one myself this year. It's a good rabbit gun, extremely light weight and effective out to 30 yds or so using the straight choke tube that comes with it. It's a very handy rifle that feels good to shoot, the only thing that can be a problem is if you reload your own .410 shells....if you do make sure you stick with a tapered hull like a AA or STS hull, a straight hull won't fit in the cylinder well.
