Difference in scoring rules PKC and UKC

i just ran my 1st pkc hunt sunday
i didnt understand it but the hunting judge helped explain everything
rick had a dog . I did end up walking away with money
To me it was like going to hang out with couple of guys to run dogs and get paid.

Joe frank miller here listen i have run pkc and have run a little pack club for years little world hunt grand national sping national great american and who knows how many state hunts. This is what i say to you just try one do not bash what u have not try yet. I have been to two now have not won a cast yet but have had a great time. At least in pkc i have some say in little pack u get a judge no names mentioned and before u leave the clubhouse u can pick the winner. u have problems. Time and Time again i have seen the same judge protested year after year and still he judges . Why? Because we have to get the hunt over this is what the master of hounds told me at the biggest hunt of the year. Rules r rules no matter what format u run and if your dog is good enough u will win sooner or later. And i could poke holes in every format out there but whats the point. I also like PKC because trophies do not pay for the hobbie and if i every do get a good dog and get lucky enough to win PKC is going to reward me with cold hard cash and i like that. U do not go to work for trophies do u LOL

Hey Frank I haven't ran a dog because i haven't had any time to get one in shape, between work , sports and county fair. and i have been to every pkc hunt we have had down here went out on several cast didn't say I didn't have fun and not really bashing it, if you read my other post I put JMO and everyone has one and you gave me yours and I appreciate that from one beagle guy to another. Maybe this fall at the state hunt I might put one in if I get some time to run between now and then
