Meg is a little over 3 years old (d.o.b. 10-31-2007). A beautiful bluetick female that will go around 14 1/2". She started very easily around six months of age and has been one of my favorite hunting companions ever since. Meg handles like a dream. Always eagerly comes when called and you simply will not find a better hound in the kennel. Meg's desire to hunt is her strongest attribute. She is an extremely strong and thorough hunter. She consistantly gets more jumps than any hound in our pack. Meg runs a medium to upper medium speed. When on the ground by herself, or with clean hounds, she will run the line close and possesses nice close check work. I consider Meg's biggest fault is her inability to control her running style when in a pack setting. Often, when running with a rough pack, Meg will allow the pack to influence her style. She is very competative and will do what she can to get to the front and her check work will suffer from working too wide too fast.
Overall, Meg has been a very solid dog for our kennel and will be missed. She has always been a solid contributer and simply a pleasure to be around whether in the field or around the house. One quick glance at Meg's pedigree speaks for itself. Her pedigree possesses some of the most powerful re-producers of our time. To the right person and in the right setting, I feel like she could be a foundation of a very good kennel. Price is an extremely fair $400.00 firm - she will not last long! Sue was purchased directly from Branko and Frieda Krpan as a six week old pup in the spring of 2003. She is a 13" tri-color and has simply been an exceptional hound for me since day one. Sue has been naturally trash proof. We run in areas with large populations of deer and she has never offered to run any off game. She has very good hunt. Medium fast speed and good control. She snaps right back to the point of loss and has an inside out check work style. One of her strongest attributes is the use of her mouth. She claims a check quickly and always accurately. She truly handles like a bird dog. I very seldom even consider taking a lead strap with me. Overall, Sue is a pleasure to hunt with and a very solid rabbit dog.
