Hot Down South

I am new to the board so I was just going to see how everyone is dealing with the heat. Down here in south MS it is very hot and the dogs can't take much.

if i can stand it the dogs can. plenty of water early mornings or evening into night.

My more experienced dogs can take alot more heat then the pups. It was 93 degrees last night at 9pm but the dogs had 1 really good run for about 25 minutes and then Coyotes started coming in on the dogs so we called it a night.

I ran for about an hour last night we had a good rain at dark but it was still hot. Had six dogs out and they ran real good can't wait till a good frost.

109 yesterday at 7:00 pm. Went this morn haa good run had one hound sit down really breathing hard,carried her to the creek,made them all come in. Till it cools off early early morn or late eve in the beaver pond.

One of my females hadn't been out in a month and she is a little over weight it didn't take her long to get hot she ran about 30 min and I picked her up. The thick weeds and grass really holds the heat in.

Its really hot here in Alabama to 90 plus with heat index of 105 plus and very very humid...Haven't run sense last sunday night had 3 dogs out the run lasted about 35 to 45 mins had 2 dogs get to hot had to carry one out by hand and one on a leash got all three to the pond for some cooling off and called it a night...

We sure are getting some good rain today should be some good running if it will cool down a little looks like its going to rain all day her in south ms.
