7 week old puppy with broken leg

Last night I noticed that a little blue tick male pup of mine had a broken leg. I have NO idea how it happened but it was flailing all over, and although looked disgusting, didn't seem to bother the little feller too bad. I had no idea what to do but went to bed thinking I was going to shoot him this morning rather than an expensive surgery. I decided over my morning coffee that I couldn't bring myself to do that, so I called the vet to see what it would cost to have him put down or what options they had to offer. They were going to check with their staff to see if anyone would be willing to adopt, with no luck they made a 2:15 appointment to have him put to sleep. I thought I would take a long shot and I took him to another, larger vet, and sought their advice. Deep down inside I knew it was a dirty trick taking a cute beagle puppy in to an office full of women stating that he was to be put down in a couple hours if something wasn't done. I asked if they had some sort of rescue program that they may be affiliated with (again sort of playing dumb). One of they ladies asked if she could take him behind the counter to their back room and see if anyone had an idea. Low and behold one of the ladies felt sorry for the little bugger and decided to take him as her own. She isn't sure what will be done yet until further examination but she may amputate or have an operation but she said regardless of the diagnosis he would be getting a good home. I honestly don't think I could have gone through with it but I'm not sure how long it would have taken to find the big heart that I did today. Thought I would share

I had one that broke a leg about that age. I was worried it wouldn't heal right and its career was over before it started. Took to the vet and he said there wasn't anything they could do.Turned out the leg healed quite well and you couldn't even tell after about 2 weeks. These little pups are amazing.

If this is possible he's in the right place!! I gave the entire litter away free to good homes so I hope this one is no exception and he pulls through.
