And thats that! shes the one and I'm going to stop all the mind changing that I keep having over and over. If i could I'd keep two of the pups but i can't. I'm having a hard time selling one of my hounds to make room. So I can only keep one.
This is her. She found the rabbit the first time I ever let her out of the kennel to run the yard. The pups have been on the ground running handful of times and every time Daisy Jr is the one that finds the rabbit and stays under the rabbit cage trying to get him. Now if that don't mean something then I don't know what to think!
So here she is My pick of the litter. She is almost identical to her momma daisy.
Sounds like a great way to choose a pup! Reminds me of my Nicci pup when she was that small, she would jump on the back of my tame lionhead rabbit and got pretty good at sniffin him out too when I hid it the bunny in long grass.

no. the other pups could care less about the rabbit. The other two pups run around and play. She is the only one that has and keeps going back to the rabbit to spend time whinning at it and getting so excited about it. she almost let out of puppy bark a few times.
Its got to mean something? How in the world does she already know. I never showed her the rabbit she found it on her own and keeps spending a bunch of time trying to get at the rabbit. I've been trying to encourage her a bit to get her more excited about the rabbit.

its tempting but Mr. Rabbit doesn't play fair. She might get her Butt kicked. He isn't the nicest rabbit. He likes to swat his little front legs like a boxing champ and he will run at you.

She definitely wants a piece of that rabbit 2x her size!!! I'd say that has to be one of the best ways to pick a pup I ever heard. That pup got more drive to get that rabbit than some started dogs I've seen
Joey, good choice ,based on the way she acting in that video, dont think any issues with wanting to hunt.. Good luck and let me know when you take her out first time with the rabbit, see if you can get , or make a rolling cage for the rabbit to move and see if she will chase, I am sure she will..
Just get some wire mesh and roll into a 12" round cylinder and 18" long, and then cut out 2 pieces of wire mesh 12" round to cover the ends and wire tie shut with rabbit in it, I am sure she will love it, and so will you.
