Best Excuse For A Bad Day Of Running

Lets keep keep this one "light hearted" and have some fun with it... We have all been out with dogs when the running was bad, dogs were bad, can't find a rabbit, won't hunt etc... and there was always that "one guy" that took it personal for his dogs and thought he had to make it a point to give a "valid" reason of why his dogs were not tearing it up.

What are the best excuses you have heard? I'll start it off:

1. scent is bad, must be a storm coming.

2. must have been coyotes around last night, all the rabbits are in their holes.

3. oh, this rabbit has been run too much and is too experienced, thats why he loses the dogs so easy.

Winds out of the east, pollen on the ground goin up their nose

Must be a female rabbit with young.
It's just a bad chemistry of dogs- I use this one a lot.
The ground is to wet and the ground is sucking the scent down!
Too wet, dry, windy, cold, hot!!!
It must be the acid in the leaves.
I've heard this one a lot.. Oh, he's still a pup he has a lack of experience. How old is he? Come to find out he's 5
The Hare must have went to a hole!
The rabbit was way off the line!!

and the list goes on......

barametric pressure too high, low. i like to say " fish just arent biting today"

My dogs on strike, I shorted him three cookies this week!!!

The rabbit used deodorant this morning. If they can get him to move long enough, his odor will come back.

-Must be an old buck rabbit they play tricks on the dogs.

-Must be this rabbit's been run before.

-(if running in an enclosure) thats a club rabbit they double back and do other tricky stuff, they are smarter because they've been run so much.
