Kennel waste

What do you all do as far as getting rid of kennel waste (stool) ? I dump it out back and throw lime on it, is there a better way as far as killing the smell and speed up the break down process ?

I live in a small town..when I clean the kennel out, I have a drain connected right into the sewage system..just put it in the pipe and wash it down with a hose...not sure that the city would allow this if they knew!! But I aint going to tell them.

Might sound like a terrible thing to do to the garbage man! But I put mine in a bag all week long in a 5 gal. bucket w/ lid. Each week I rake out under the above grounds and put that in the bag with the waste from the concrete runs an in the trash it goes! No smell around the kennels, except when you take the lid off in the summer! Oh, and if you don't have a strong stomach the maggots are all over it at certain times.

I'm glad I live in the country. I spray my kennels out with a water hose and every so often put a little lime on it but I live on a hill so it washes done in the woods everytime it rains. I feel sorry for you guys that live in town.

As stated about recycling, Purina buys mine. Not sure what they do with it though?

I place in garbage bag and dicard 2 x per week, if you live in the country there is the dog septic system, which is basically is made of plastic, and has a lid, you place over a hole and pour an enzyme into it, it breaks down the stool and smell. When it is full , just move it and backfill the hole. I used to own a pet store and sell thgis, people that purchased it, said worked very well.
