Most proven stud dog on the ground as of today

In my opinion if there is 900 dogs on the ground,sure there should be a few good ones.I understand reggie is hot right now,and alot of people are breeding to him.I just dont understand why nobody is answering my question on how many field champs he has produced? This topic is for the most proven stud dog today, and the only way to know that is to get all the numbers. JMO

I'll agree with you 100% again, most of the Reggie pups are from 1 week old to 3yrs old there is no reason all 900 shouldn't be Field Champions,can't believe people want to call him a proven stud dog.

If you knew anything about it you would know that most dogs don't finish in AKC for FC until they are 4-6 years old. So my advice to you would be get on here in about 3 more years and ask the same question.

He's saying that reggie's offspring are making a big showing in the field trialing world. alot of reggie's pups are winning
But that most of his pups are still young in age and there arnt many Champions yet due to there age. It take time to bring a dog to the Champion title. I've been to a trial were 3 of reggie's offspring were in the top 4.

I don't know who the best Proven stud dog is but I do know one thing. If you've done your homework and your females ready you'd better make that cross because Beagles don't live for ever. The next time a dog is turned loose it might be his last trip. Many times by the time a stud has proven himself he is already 6 or 7 years old. Several dogs died early because of an accident or illness. Jack of all Trades, Blue Ninja, Prime Time, Mainevents Showtime Rock River Sackett and the list goes on. I've grew up in a family that took coon hounds and Beagles seriously. I can remember attending trials back in the 50's and sixties where the same disccussions were held about breeding. My grandfather believed that if a young male showed a lot of promise that he should be bred to a proven female just to see if he would produce. His theory was that it gave you a head start on your breeding program and if something happened to him at least you still had some of his offspring. As far as percentages go UKC does a wonderful job of tracking that for the coonhound breeds.
To bad AKC doesnt. They have all of the informatiom . Not sure what Nkc does.

hasnt reggie been bred about 10 x more than any other stud dog on the ground today? And it seems like the limited breedings that others have had like trails, sport, and others are showing up just as much almost. not saying reggie doesnt produce because my best dog is off him, but what would it be like if they were bred half as much? just wondering.

it to bad that the stud dog gets all the good and bad put on him you guys need to rember that it two dogs to make pups male and female so if you breed a call bitch to the best stud gess what your going to get ? you cant blam the stud for that now can you not all cross work out it just like rolling dice sometimes you win sometimes you crap out.

Reggie's run as the top reproducer is only getting started. I will go out on a limb and say he may have a bigger impact on the breed than Jack of All Trades when its all said and done. Guys will be saying Jack who???

Without a doubt Reggie has got the Little Pack Market Covered. I seen Reggie run as a young dog way before titles were handed out and IFC Made and he was a pretty nice hound .But i had no ideal about the reproducing power,i guess this is my question Reggies Full Littermate Brother Thunder has been bred limited times so why did everyone not breed to Thunder as well? You can shout genetics all day i disagree,I believe it was marketing and exposure right timing is crucial to sell any product.And btw i have seen some nice reggie hounds as well my favorite is Bad Moon Rising.
I also have to plug my ol mutt he has thrown a few dandies also but i still think we are throwing off on them bitches there a big part if it.

wasnt convienced at first at all from all the junk that was bred to him
but reggie hands down
he still threw some nice dogs that was out of weaker females
he has some akc midwest spo dogs that are doing good
and like said by Mapel Valley Kennels LLC lil pack has been dominated by the reggie dogs
hes throwed cookie that won the world twice
irene and switch a gear thats done huge stuff and not far from hall of fame and are still young
and lp gr r ch bad moon risin is still advancing in the world in the grands as im typing as well as irene and switch
and wouldnt be suprized at all to hear that moon wins it in the grands, hes just that tough!!!
and to mention the other sucessful reggie dogs in lil pack would take all day and would wear my key board out
and reggie is still producing in his grandpups as well
i got a 2 yr old out of bad moon risin thats really starting to come on
he needs a 1st to make lp r ch
hes got a 9th in the indiana state
made a round at the grand nationals
and barely got beat in the 2nd round of the world hunt yesterday by a fine hound
and also my dog out of moon has been in 3 akc spo trials where hes showing to be a future prospect
never been picked up yet and in the 3 made 2nd series twice and winners pack the other
and ive seen other grandpups to reggie that are alot better than my dog
REGGIE HANDS DOWN!!!! CANT ARGUE WITH THE TRIAL RECORDS!!!!!!!
ALSO REGGIE IS OWNED BY TERRY GREY WHICH IN MY OPINION IS NOT ALL THAT WORRIED ABOUT MAKING MONEY OFF REGGIE BUT MORE INTERETSED IN PUTTING GOOD DOGS ON THE GROUND OUT OF HIS PROVEN REPRODUCER
