this was a pretty good post UNTIL it got hijacked.
thought it was about breeding.
not about jump dogs
not about some smart a## blowing smoke about how stupid he sounds and you where/are in the military your the one that gives trial guys a bad name with your arrogant remarks (ohlinger) not that I'm pointing fingers.
so if you don't agree with what's being said here fine, but then don't pipe in with your smart a## comments better yet don't read this thread.
and for all who think you know but don't have a clue when Norwest says he needs special dog power up where he's at you can take that to the bank and if in doubt head up his way with your superdogs and show him how it's done
I have been there so I know first hand what it is he talks of
Now back to the topic and quit with the pissing matches about jump dogs and such.

this post has gotten way off tilt. let's here from people who inbreed and hear what results they have had. i beleave the gentleman who started this thread was looking for input from breeders with experience in this subject and not just blab from people like mybeagles from afganistan. after reading his posts he seems to be nothing more than a troublemaker!!!

Yep, they tried to take their old Brace male stud from Arizona and outcross him with an Alaska grade gyp, but in the end they were both “culled”.

I’m just kidding, don’t get mad…. Mooredog & barnold1 started it…

Ok, let’s get back to the topic at hand. It is one of the best threads in a long time, as long as everybody stays serious.

I do have a question… would you rather produce 2 super dogs and 4 culls, or 6 mediocre/good/average dogs. And what style of breeding would most likely produce the above mentioned. And which would “gun hunters” rather be producing, opposed to what field trialers would rather produce.

Circumstances have made it a good possibility this discussion will become a reality. After further evaluating the male in this equation I am going to make this cross and see how it works out bust or nice ones I will know the result. We'll see??

These hounds both compliment there weak areas. Jake's is average to above average hunt, he has track power and speed ideal for what I like with control that is very, very good. He moves a rabbit hard and accurate with the ability to move in the right direction at a very quick pace with very good reach when he needs to reach a little for scent. Lilly has outstanding grub it out hunt that allows her to jump a bunch of rabbits. Less control with the same speed, but still nice control, just not Jake control. We will see what we get? :D

Just bread half brother to half sister and I am liking the pups. Starting fast and running good for pups that is.

Me and Tim Thompson (goes by Hare Trigger on this board)made a half brother/half sister cross with two Reggie dogs and they all made real nice dogs. I think Tim's female died but he has a male that he really likes for his age. I have made another half brother/half sister cross with two more Reggie dogs but the pups are just three months old so I will wait and see how they turn out.

I got a young bitch pup out here I call Peach. She's the result of an accidental breeding between Dazzle(Taz X Lucy) X Bunny(Mr.Horn X Lucy). She's built like a male and has the hunt and lovable disposition of ole Jasper. This little girl just can't get enough  ... only thing about her, she got the mouth that sound like a ole hen turkey. May have to change her name to "Yelper"...
Gonna try it again next time round, this time on purpose tho...
