Congrats to all who won and placed. This was a great trial, plenty of rabbits and awesome running.

Re: Central Illinois AKC MidWest Results
I think some people should get the FACTS before speaking! For your information the FACT is I did call and talk to Don right after the little females got done and well before I posted this on the board. He said he didnt have an excuse for the first no show/no call but he said he did for this one. His so called excuse for this no show/no call was because his buddies that he was going to ride with didnt want to run under one of the replacement judges I was kind enough to post on the board well before the trial (I guess I should of kept my mouth shut and let them drive all the way up here and let them find out). This might be a half assed excuse for not showing up but it is in no way a excuse for not calling!!! The truth is Don gave me his word that he would call me if he couldnt make it and he didnt so his word isnt worth much to me! Those are the FACTS like them or not!Brian Caudill wrote:I think if there is an issue you should have taken it up with him personally not on here. Just my opinion.

The fact is that you should have ended this either on the phone or face to face with Don rather than bringing it to this board. You are entitled to your opinion based on what you know, and I'm sure some people that don't know Don have already formed opinions based on your comments. Personally, I think you'd be better off swatting at a hornets nest with a short stick.

Hey Jason, I'm with you. Are we the only ones who know Don? Don would have rather talked face to face.

YOU GUYS ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, IT WOULD BE A SHAME FOR PEOPLE TO KNOW A MAN CAN`T HOLD UP TO HIS WORD. LETS JUST ALL PRETEND THIS NEVER HAPPENED. PEOPLE DON`T NEED TO KNOW THR TRUTH ANYWAY!

Dont sweat it Kevin. I fully expected some of the KY clan to not like what I posted. Sometimes the truth hurts but ive had many more pm's thanking me for what I poted than what has voiced against it and some were even from KY! I just tell them....."IF YOU DONT LIKE IT......DONT READ IT!"

What is the reasoning for announcing judges weeks in advance? Seems like you are hurting your attendance if people are deciding not to go because of who is judging. I guess it's because certain style dogs will do better under certain judges than others?

Each AKC club has to find judges months in advance and then send them to AKC for approval. Once approved you can then advertise your hunt. Its a rule of AKC not the clubs.

Lets not turn this post into something it's not and recognize the fact that Central Illinois put on a Great Trial with plenty of rabbits.

It's not about the truths the truth or a lie is a lie, it's about the site admin not practicing what he preaches. Getting on here and bashing fellow beaglers and not keeping the site clean. Congrats to all the winners!!

Re: Central Illinois AKC MidWest Results
Hold up, Ryan. I can tell you right now that the first time someone (who is NOT a site admin) gets screwed over a dog deal, or doesn't get paid for a set of collars, or doesn't get something they were promised, they would be the first ones raising all hell. Do you want to do a search for beaglers calling other beaglers out on this? We (as admins) have often looked the other way and allowed people to have their say because it wasn't bashing -- it was telling it as it is. Well Admins or not, we are beaglers, too, and deserve at LEAST the same rights we give the members. Apparently it is a fact that this judge has cancelled twice without calling. He may have a good reason (in his mind) but the fact remains he did it, and it left Central Illinois stuck...twice. That is not bashing. And those who are quick to say, "Don't buy a dog from so-and-so" or "So-and-so still owes me money" better not have a problem with Aaron (or anyone else) warning other clubs and trialers that a particular judge has cancelled twice without notification. REGARDLESS of his reasons for cancelling.
Just as beaglers deserve to know they could get a raw dog deal, other clubs deserve to know that this can happen with a judge. I guarant-darn-tee that if a Michigan judge was a no-call, no-show for a Kentucky club 2 years running, I wouldn't expect they would sit silent about it. The way I see it, Central Illinois forgave the first time and thought enough of him to extend a second request, and this was how their faith in him was repaid. He owes them an apology - not indignance.
We all answer for our actions.

Re: Central Illinois AKC MidWest Results
Don has been a friend of mine for a long time & as a judge , he has never been known as a "no show". I think I even recommended Don to Aaron a few years ago to judge. I don't know why Don wasn't able to get there, but I would say he had every intention of being there whe he accepted the job.
I can also call Aaron a friend and I can see why he & his club are upset . Let's just leave it at that. Central Illinois has a great trial with great people & Don has a lot of friends that will take up for him no matter what.
