A friend of mine had an English Setter several years ago , when I grouse hunted, that had blood sugar problems. His sugar would drop from over exertion during hunting. We would take a water bottle full of Karo Syrup with us hunting. Every hour or so we would tie him up and give him a big mouthful of the Karo, give him a five minute break, and turn him back to the birds. As long as we did that he never had another siezure as long as he lived. Hope this will help your dog or it's new owner.
I own a full sister to his dam. She has raised some really good pups for me. If her sister produces like she does this has to be a good dog.
He is definitely a good looking dog.

This could also be Epilepsy. I had a female with these symptoms and thought it might be low blood sugar. I tried giving her sugar in several forms but it did not work. The siezures got so bad and so often I had to put her down. I asked a veterinarian and he said it was epilepsy, and it can be passed on to pups. I know this to be true because I have a female out of the one I had to put down and she has it to, just not as bad.

My dog is like two different dogs, on the chain the dog lays in the house most of the day until you get to him with feed and he goes wild. Show him a lesh or a shock collar and he will jump head high trying to get you. When you turn him loose its like you turn a light switch on and he is a live wire never stand still, always on the go. The first time he got light headed I just put the shock collar on him and walked to get another dog and turned back to look at him he was stepping like he was walking on air and could not touch the ground, went got my other dogs and come back and put him in the truck anyway and done great that day. Then the last one he done good all day and after a rabbit holed up I got where I could see the hole He was lying on his side shaking, ran to him and petted him down and he got back up staggering but still trying to search. It lasted about ten minutes and then the dogs struck and we hunted about another hour and did fine. I have had him over a year and these are the only two that I have seen.
