If you want hard hunting, lock onto the rabbit and Roll it is hard to beat Durbin Valley Hitman Hart
I have bred two females to him with great results both times.
He throws what I consider true rabbit dogs

If those numbers are correct, then I'd say that the "MAN" was definately a top producer! Maybe thats why I have four in my kennel that have the "MAN" up close. ;)

Guys I if you are only talking about males then yes i would have to agree with alot of the names everyone has said but lets not forget the females also. We all know it takes the females as well. I personally dont think it is always the males i think the females control alot as well maybe even sometimes alot more. Not trying to start a big cluster screw here but lets not forget the females that made the great males. I run a all Branko Kennel so I will be bias to them but here are a few.

My top females in no order.
1 Branko's Double Ann
2 Close Call Girl
3 Speedy Devil
4 Gordies Black Brook Jasmine ( This female reproduced very nice look at the litter with Prop) Tippy, Woody, Blazer, Beethovan, Holly Prop) very nice litter
5. Anna's Ann

I could go on with a bunch more from other blood lines.

I think every dog mentioned are fine producers but I agree with one of the older posts that it doesn't have to be an FC to be a good producer... I know for sure little nip otis was bred to at least tawo bitches that were only used for hunting dogs and never even once put in a trial that were darn good dogs...

Its one of those things that is just hard to tell... I would say that a dog that produces more than 60percent of the litter to be good hunting dogs/fc dogs or whatever could be considered a good dog..

What I would be interested in seeing is a post about the WORST reproducing FC or flat out good hunting dog you ever seen and the reasons you think behind it... But i know callin someone elses dog a bad reproducer is fightin words so it would hve to be owners of the hounds I suppose tellin on themselves.
God isn't real, Beer is good and people are crazy, there I fixed it.

what about FC Indian Hill's Majer and IFC Mark V's Ace In The Hole. Both produced really nice rabbit dogs and trail dogs.
