Rabbit Feeders

Post by Aaron Lariscy »

I finally got around to constructing some rabbit feeders, I started with hog wire panels and formed a square. The holes should be plenty big enough for a rabbit to fit through but not for any predators. Then I brushed them in and used old steel doors to cover the top. Does anyone have any doubts about it being safe I don't want any of my rabbits getting eatted. :) Im going to try feeding corn an possibly rabbit pellets.

If you don't have a good escape route where the rabbit can come and go with out the predators seeing the rabbit --all you are doing is setting up a good and easy food spot for the predators ---if you food station is by a large safety zone of some kind you will be OK --I learned the hard way ---good luck
ALWAY GO BY THE RULES AND NEVER A PROBLEM

There is only about 3 feet of open ground on all 4 sides and its smack dab in the middle one of the thickest nastyest brier patchs there is. I also have a very active trapping program going on and it's being monitored by trail cams, If I see any predators there would promptly be traps around the feeder.
