Why did you all raise the entery fee from 15 dollars to 20 dollars, With the raise in GAS is bad enough, I think this raise is uncalled for especialy for some of you that run more than one dog the cost will add up quickley.

We also pay our judges. If you drive to our club to help us, you will get paid $20 a cast or $10 each per cast if you have a helper. I trial the ARHA circuit a lot and most now a days have a $20 entry. We like to give trophies to those that place and we have lots of rabbits to run too. I would hope that the $5 increase doesn't deter too many people.

Hey Thanks JHALL for the kind words about Libby i hope every beagler has that speciel dog because thats what keeps all of us coming back, picture this guys lets say you have 30 dogs at your hunt say 20 opens 10 champs thats 30 x 20= 600.00 now the N.K.C. gets 60.00 and the A.R.H.A. gets 30.00 then your trophies cost say 175.00 for a full show then if you pay judges 20.00 a cast thats what 9 cast x 20.00= 180.00 in judges then lets say the hall rent is 100.00 this is an average hunt you got 600.00 in entries-60.00-30.00-175.00-180.00-100.00= 55.00 profit for the day thats a lot of work for 55.00 don't ya think, we didn't raise our entries to make money we raised our entries to stay above water like most every other club has had to do even at that what other sport can you go to and spend 20.00 for 4 or 5 hours of entertainment if we beaglers don't start spending money at all of our clubs and supporting them we will go under then there will be no clubs to go to at all and i don't think we want that.

Raising entry fees is going to happen at other clubs too. At our club we sell 50/50 tickets, also charge for breakfast & lunch . You need a lot of volunteers at trials or they won't happen .Upkeep of our grounds takes a lot of money also. I might have to come out to one of your trials.
