I lost a black blanket (with ticking) female beagle (name is Zena) with an orange collar on the Jubilee Road, Madison Township, Lackawanna county. She was last seen today (Sunday) at the Cunningham residence, which is next to the Alt residence off of the Jubilee road. She is staying in the same area where her two littermates were recovered on Thursday.
My name and number (Duane Mittan, 570 698-5103) is on the collar. I lost her on Tuesday afternoon, so time is of the essence to find her. She went to at least two houses, but the house dogs barked at her and she ran off.

Re: LOST BEAGLE- Madison Township PA (UPDATE)
I know the general vicinity she is staying in, but she will not allow anyone to catch her. I was off all last week, and am not sure if I can get another day off. She has gone to a few homes, but will not allow anyone to catch her. Time is of the essence since I lost her last Tuesday. Does anyone have advice?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Set out some bowls of feed for her so she wont starve to death if you can. you can try a large box trap if you have access to one or maybe call some of the locals near where you lost her and offer a 25 dollar reward and tell them she is sorta shy and they will have to coax her to catch her...thats all that i know. I put out a small reward and told some kids and sure enough they caught my dog the next day...beagles love most kids and vice versa....and ALL KIDS LIKE 25 bucks!!!!!

Thanks, I will definitely have to put out food in various places, and offer a reward.

I posted the same thing about the box trap on another forum. You will probably have your dog back the first night if you set a box trap near the house where she keeps showing up.

If you can get back there anytime soon...take your other dogs and just walk them around or let them in the box and get them squalling or barking...show them a dead rabbit or whatever...that draws young dogs in like a magnet. good luck....if I lived closer I would lend you a big box trap but i am way off from you

Hope that you find your dog. I well know the feeling when one is lost. You are right, time is of the essence.
