in my opinoin it depends on what you breed to a striker male but pretty much they all can produce mid west style dogs. Larsens Jackson, ditry pond tangaree (tang also has brothers out east), wookie , threejays jacks jojo, hardenbaughs baby blue (maravics blues clues is his brother), amca max, these are some direct sons of striker im sure im forgeting some.

This is a list of some grandsons of striker Awful Bawlin Viagra, Awful bawlin let er Rip, Awful Bawlin Retread(and there are many other awful bawlin males to many to list them all)there are sveral Larsen bred dogs that have striker in there pedigree.

Also Woodpont Hemi is out of Zorro which is strikers brother he is a really nice hound

Some guys you might wanna contact are Dale Larsen , Adam Seger, John Monkman, Andy P, Jack Blum these are just a few guys that have bred to striker and owned striker dogs and bred them hope this helps

I don't know about Jake, but this would be my order (if some of them would still be up for public stud) 1.Dirty Pond Tangeree/ Larsen's Jackson. 2. John L Dock, 3.Huntspur's Wood Lot Hemi.

Tang and Jackson are a tie. I agree with Eddy, Tang is a nice stud, reproduces really nicely. Has some several good dogs that I've seen crossed with Striker Daughters. A cross that I liked was out of Tang X Larsen's Hayle. Jackson is off of the stud block, but he produces some really quick dogs, that out of the check with explosivness and accuracy. He will push hard, might produce some pups that will gamble in the check, but hard real good check dogs. They usually have strong noses, lots of gears (Brains) and will push to a hole or the gun!!!

well i guess it would depend on the female i guess how she was bread and how she ran ect. ect. yes everybody thinks all striker hounds do the same thing and throw the same traits but like us they all have their own lil things about them that make them speacil.
Tang- is a super clean hound, love his check work , has plenty of foot may not run the front but can and he has a good nose seen him run in poor conditions and it may not been a burner but did it the way he was supposed to
Hemi- ( who is off of zorro strikers brother) super clean hound, plenty of foot small dog that can run, can handle pressure well ( the day i seen him run he had dogs cuttin and swingin around him and he kept the line between his legs and checked the h*** out of them)
Jackson - Fast , picks up checks with ease and explodes out with them , good nose , nice chop mouth , Dale Larsen said the only dog he ever seen put it to Jackson was his sister Haley
Wookie- fast, nice chop mouth, worked checks well , heard in his day he was awsome
John L Dock- fast floats on the line ,pushes the other dogs and if they cant keep up oh well, his check work is not as tight as the others but by no means is he a swinger, nice chop mouth, big houndy dog, explodes out of checks.
Awful bawlin Zorro - Fast, endless bottom , very active search ,super clean hound ran the line well good mouth , really nice check work
Remember some of these hounds where older when i seen them run and i have seen some run more than others thats why i may have said more about some than i did the others its not cuz im playing favorites hope this helps feel free to ask more good huntin.

Hard on Check,

Thats the best description I have read about Tang. I've never had the pleasure of meeting Jake, but make no mistake from that description of Tang, he has seen him run many times. I like Tang a lot, and Jake can back me up on that, Tang is one smart S.O.B.!!! Tang is also close to you Hard on check, he's still up for stud as well, I wouldn't waste anytime and not breed to a fantastic dog.

(FTCH Awful Bawlin Zorro Real One) was one of the many field champs off the mountain man x hoser crosses.
(FTCH MJR Mitsou Zorro)was Strikers brother and i would guess he is long dead now as he was running in 96 & 97 ish, he sired a couple hounds with the Zorro tagged on them.
