Greg...All clubs turned in the trial results, the reason for the 0 points on some dogs the same class of two different trials were ran on same day.
The dogs are still qualified but do not recieve points from that trial.

Sobwhat clubs points did not count?? Did the club know ahead of time that their points where not gonna count?? Is there a situation that is gonna cause this again this in 2011 if so what club is gonna count and which club is not gonna count??

John this is what happened. 2 clubs ran a trial on the same weekend. Instead of alternating days, they ran the same class on the same day. This could have been avoided if one of the clubs would have changed their running order. Neither chose to so the points did not count.

I hope they get this corrected this year; those are two nice clubs. The Mid-West needs to add this to the by-laws so the beaglers will know that they aren't getting points. I guess since the clubs were 400 miles apart there was a lack of communication or something.

Just wondering what the thinking is behind not giving points just because there were two clubs running the same class on the same day? I know its better for clubs not to hold hunts on the same weekend so each club can get the best turnout possible but evidently both clubs had enough dogs for a class so why wouldnt they deserve points just like everyone else? Im not complaining.....just trying to understand. Am I missing something??????

Plus... just curious... if the trials were truely 400 miles apart what impact really is it that they were on the same day.
Was it a National Event? A State Event ? Not too many will travel that far for s standard club meet...

This has been a rule for sometime. The same two clubs did this last year also. It has been a topic of discussion for a mileage restriction for sometime but as the rule stands now clubs must reverse orders. It was discussed at several meetings and posted on the Mid-West site when the secretary posted the meeting notes.

If a dog placed in a derby trial and a licensed trial can that dog hunt friday in the derby and also saturday with the all age dogs?

Looks like they are calling for SNOW! There was snow last year also, but the rabbits were still running everywhere; great running grounds! Should be a fun time. Can't wait.
