hey eddie this is jr. Arlie, I would like that your father and I have ran several times and I use to own Maggie .Tell him your going to run with FAST EDDY since we cant get him off the couch  Harner I will tell you ole Dock can roll with it he has thrown a few decent hounds but the few I kept that my ole buddy John L sent my way didnt work out .Tough dog to clean after though when ran in ,I seen him destroy a winners cast in Ukc to make him HBCH ,totally dominated .

eddie, yeah he told me that u guys have ran 2gether,maggie is a very nice hound, she's the only female that we have out of my ole jimmy dog.i would like 2 cross her with larsens jackson but due 2 his age im not sure if that can happen, ive heard good an bad on alot of the available striker studs.im really big on the shaker/striker crosses, but i cant make up my mind on which one to breed to.have you heard anything about " weirs ready rock ripper " ? thats a stud that im really considering, hes not as close 2 striker as i wold like, but his dam is directly out of shaker, anyway if u have any advice 4 me i would really appreciate it,also thanks 4 selling maggie 2 my dad. we have some good places 2 run up here,so get a hold of me sometime,im sure i can get dad off the couch 2 join us lol.

I ran with Adam Seger a bunch of times and when I was there I got to watch dock several times. He sure can roll!

I have a 3yr female that is double striker. Her sire is FC Wookie. She is a great dog. I really like her nose, excellent snow hound. I would call her med speed, only draw back :?: . Trailed her a few times midwest she was not fast enough though. That was the only thing lacking, because the jump and check work is great. :D

Some of them are quick, but a lot. They beat other dogs out of the check and has good line control. My dog which is Branko bred on top, Striker on the bottom, is a upper medium speed dog. His flaw has to be his lack of speed. Don't get me wrong I like his speed, but in a foot race, he'll be back of the pack. But he's a beast of a jump dog.

once again thanks for all the information, opinions, advice, that you gentlemen have posted on here. my shaker female is due to come in heat in early spring, and the format that i have intentions of running is akc midwest. ive heard alot of good about some of the available striker studs ( line control, brains, check work, hunt ) Ive also heard the bad ( lack of speed, lack of hunt ) Like i said,i wanna have a midwest style dog,and i wanna have somethin that i can WIN with.i know there are alot of great striker dogs out there, but that dosent mean their reproducing great offspring,so i guess my question is - which available striker stud is throwing the best offspring to fit the akc midwest? obviously for those of us that have been to akc midwest trials we know that it takes a FAST hound an a" CLEAN " hound to do well. help me out? arlie thompson.
