Does this really give you a free ride to say whatever you want about someone? I tried that with my wife once and it didn't work. LOL.

I love reading Joeyman's posts and he strikes me as a responsible hunter. If a place like this is only hunted once or twice a year then there is absolutely no reason not to shoot this many rabbits.
we hunt this farm once a year. I hunted it last year. if you read the post I stated that i was invited back again. Why do you think i was invited back? cause I have dogs and they don't. i simply guide dogs. I let them shoot.

Did you see the hunt from saturday. Had a few younger guys 18yrs old. i let them do the shooting. I was video taping half the time.

Its alright guys to question me. I don't mind. I hope i've answered your questions. The people that don't understand we are jumping 20 rabbits and their are lots of areas we don't touch on these farms. We only hunt it once a year. Thats how we do it. I still have a couple farms i hunted last year that i'm going to hunt this year and we'll do a good cleaning. The landowners can't wait for me to come out. I only bring home what I shoot and its not many.

We Don't waste rabbits. We clean every single one. We like to eat wild game. Did you see the deer I killed earlier this season? Its almost all gone. only have one little roast left. I've shared my recipe's before. Even a dove recipe if you guys remember that.

You guys have a happy holidays

Good post Joey. Keep up the good work. Let everyone know us beaglers are responsible hunters. I love seeing those pics of the rabbits on the tail gate, the hunters, and the dogs. I will try to post a few of my own hunting pics from this rabbit season. I am off work next week so I hope to get out and shoot a few over my dogs.

thanks

I went hunting with Joey earlier this year. There were 5 of us, we killed 8 out of about 15 jumps. No jump shooting, and excellent hound work. We hunted about 8 hours or so. They let me take all the rabbits. They all made it to the dinner table. With 4 kids 8-14 years old, that only makes 1 meal. My wife has some good recipies for rabbit and Im guessing we could eat 150 or more a year if I harvested that many.

Some areas support a large harvest, some areas don't. It's up to sportsmen to know the difference. In my experience dealing with Joey, he is a sportsman, and I would be cautious about blasting anyone on here about their harvest.

Whats worse.....a guy killing 1 rabbits when it takes 3 hours of walking to find one, or a guy that kills 20 after jumping 40 of them???????

Ive been harassed about killing rabbits on state/federal land before. The main reason being, they wanted to be able to trap 100's of them to put in their running pens. Trapping on state/federal land is not even legal in Michigan, not to mention the numbers they trap. Always interesting when a law breaker wants to harrass a legal hunter.

thanks for the kind words mybeagles. we had a good time when you came over for that hunt. Lots of hours on the dogs that day. Alot of rabbits jumped and non-stop running. All us got to take a few shots each.

Some just don't understand and just want to think bad all the time. That's ok. I guess I should of done a better job at describing more about the hunts and who did what and how. I'll try better next time.

Joeyman, Keep doing what you are doing!!! I also love to see your pics and post. I think a lot of people including my self would be, and are jelous of you. Having access to that many different pieces of ground to run on, and all of them having that many rabbits. WoW!!! We have several places that we are fortunate enough to be able to run on. Several of those places we are the only people that rabbit hunt on the place, and we only hunt them once or maybe twice each year. Yes we kill a few rabbits each time we go. If those places had that kind of populations I am sure we would kill more. However they dont. Mostly due to coyotes, Foxes, and Hawks. There fore we kill a few and leave a few. We have one spot that I have gotten permission to hunt this year that does hold a good population of rabbits. We Jumped 14 in five hours of hunting and we killed 4 off of 20 ac. Dogs ran every single one!!!We are going there again over the new years weekend. All I can say is it must be nice and wayto go letting others enjoy your dogs and giving them a chance to enjoy Rabbit hunting, and the friend ships. THAT IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT. Brock

lol...yesterday their were 4 guns on the ground. I only killed one rabbit. the other guys that own the property had me bring my dogs they killed most of the rabbits. I just guide the dogs for them. They don't own dogs.

Thats how i get on these farms. :approve:

I remember in the old West, they used to prop up outlaw gangs that had been shot and take pictures of them. Some people liked to see it/some didn't.
