the best thing to do is copy ever paper you have before you send them in, i copy every paper so if i have sent papers in on a dog and a guy buys it i can give him registration numbers,,,,now this probably does not happen to all, but every paper i send in to akc takes at least a month,,,,,im currently waiting on papers for a female that i sold a guy but he also recived a copy of the puppy papers of when i sent them in,this is just a good thing for us all to do,,,,,,,,

we got an e-mail today saying our papers were on the way. we mailed the litter registration form last tuesday. the akc has always had our papers back to us in less than 3 weeks. there is no reason for a person not to have papers and there is no reason for someone to do another person dirty. the word spreads fast. we are in the computer age
Akc's policy has changed then concerning selling dogs under false pretenses. Had a field rep years ago state that they would as the person at fault was using the AKC system to commit fraud
in a matter of speaking... Does not surprise me as this is the way of the world. Everything questioned now days means a court battle
But then years ago a good a$$ whuppin' usually got the job done too

"Run the most rabbit, with the least amout of wasted action"...
If the AKC will not suspend the guy's use of their registry, then you can use other methods to get his attention short of whooping is rear....sue him in small claims court for your money back for one thing. I've also been through this same bull (not sueing but a hard time getting my papers) and I know what a headache it is. J. Murphy hit it right that a person's word just aint what it used to be.

BigDog,
I purchased FC Woodeyes Super Girl. The day I picked her up I had her bred to the NE IFC you refer to. I found the owner knowledgable and caring beagler that doesn't have the requisite time required to remain up to date with his AKC activities. Paperwork has not been an issue in my dealings with him. I'm not trying to make excuses for him or defend him in any way, just stating facts that I have first hand knowledge of. On the other hand I've been screwed and lied to by at least 1 dealer that frequent these sites, namely POWER (Gary Ratley). I would recommend avoidance. Maybe we need an eBay feedback system for dog dealers

papers
To Hatteras Bob - I have had no personal dealing with the guy we speak of, but know many that have. Too many of them have spent a lot of money and had major problems getting papers or not gotten papers at all, so If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then I call it a "Duck"(LOL) It is a shame because the guy has some really nice dogs but is killing his own reputation. If he doesn't have time to keep up with the papers then he shouldn't take the folks money. right is right and wrong is wrong. A board buddy of mine took a 1200.00 screwing from this guy, and I believe J Murphy as well as many others have had issues with papers from him and that just aint right.
To Randy H- Hatteras Bob has super girl, I have never seen her run so I don't know anything about her.

Big Dog,
I was cautioned by many before my dealings, so I went into it with eyes wide open. I felt that an opportunity to bred to this dog was worth the risk. There are many out there that have had successful dealings with him or his dog would not have been the co-high producer for 2003. There is no doubt that there are issues, but not with me and that is all I'm willing to speak to.
Randy H,
I have not run Super Girl much do to her being bred, but I'm looking forward to it. I have heard from many, judges, handlers and spectators that all have said she was a dominating bitch, one even said the best he has ever seen. Don't know, but she made me an instant celebrety at the futurity. She does have 5 wins in LP and SPO, including winning a 10 hour LP on Sunday and winning a SPO on Monday, she was probably tired.
Randy, if your interested in leaning more about her I invite you the correspond with Rob Kane (IrishKane), judge, or Harry Snow Jr. or Sr., handler or Mike White, owner/breeder of sire. I am proud and fortunate to be her current owner, she is a nice dog. I will continue to breed her to the best males in the country. That's why I started the thread "Fun Poll Real Time". I was looking for future sires that I may not be aware of.
I am looking forward to meeting you guys at a trial in the near future, for now I'm off to the Upper Hudson Beagle Club.
Later!

when you breed your female to tony's dogs he has no out of pocket expense with akc, he only has to sign the akc litter registration application papers !!! when you buy a dog or pup from him is where you run into trouble !!! he has to pay akc the money to get the pups registered and do the paper work.. that is where the whole problem is !!!
beware
I have to laugh at this post.(LOL) We mentioned a well known FC up north and never called the dogs name or the owners name and everyone immediately knew who we were talking about. That is proof that word of mouth goes a long way.(LMAO)

Beagle litters,,,
Hi guys,
Is it normal for some of these breaders to sell litters for people???? If so how can we be sure of what we're getting??? I just got a 6 week old female from the same breader who sold us our 6 month old male. Now I got the old, papers are on the way with this one, where the male's were with him??? Do you guys think I'm in trouble here??? After reading this thread a bad breader could bogus any number of dogs, I'm sure. They could make up a whole litter just to get paperwork!!!! I've had AKC beagle pups that I didn't even register in the past cause I only rabbit hunted with them. Without the papers there is no field trialing though is there??? Like everything else in this world of ours, some jerks got to screw things up!!!!
